Kidd demands trade, wants to go to a Contender
I know you're gonna say there is a trade thread, but this is the most important news to the Lakers right now.
Odom
VladRad
Crittenton (we have too many guards)
for
Jason Kidd
Sean Williams (promising, athletic big to back up Bynum)
What do you think?

Jordan Farmar is our future point guard. I hope he will become a top-10 PG in the league in a few seasons so I would not give up him for a 34-year-old Kidd who is going to play at high level only a season, maybe two.
Kidd for Brown, Radmanovic, Crittentton. If they accept, great, if not, OK see you later.

With his $20m salary, no top 5 team would want to break up their team to get him. Unless, of course, top teams that have expensive problems like Odom & Brown lying around.
Kidd could be good in the new, faster-paced triangle. He also brings in a pure playmaker to the Lakers, a solid rebounder, multiple 1st team all defense, and a decent spot up shooter.
The best thing is, you will never see him disappear (Odom).

Hes no longer a great defender and not even close to being a decent spot up shooter

At this point I'd consider dumping Odom, Walton, Crittenton for Kidd. We can move Fisher to shooting back-up.
Odom would probably benefit playing in the Nett's offense similar to how he played in the Heat.
Walton would fit well next to his bbf Richardson.
Crittenton would be a nice prospect for them.
We can throw in Kwame or/+ Sasha for one of their bigs they are willing to part with.
Benefit from Kidd, great mentor for Farmar. Bynum will benefit from Kidd setting him up as well as Kobe. Kobe IMO is more effective and a striker, with Kidd taking majority of the facilitating when both Kobe and Kidd are on the court will help. Above all Kidd is a far superior defensive upgrade over Derek Fisher and Farmar at the point.
A core of Kobe/Kidd/Bynum is downright scary. However way you look at it. Back that up with nice role players / glue guys in Ronny, Farmar, Fisher, Ariza, hopefully a healthy Mihm(unrealistic) haha. Well the whole scenario seems unrealistic but hell, it can happen. Remember we signed Malone and Payton for some low contracts. I thought that would have been a pipe dream in itself.
