The Good News From Today..

Post#1 » by ARB729 » Mon Jan 28, 2008 2:09 am

We just showed that we can play with another elite team, on the road, without one of our two best players.

Some teams roll over and die once a big piece of the puzzle is gone. (*cough* Lakers) We just showed not only ourselves, but the entire country about this.

Also good news, the next game is vs the Heat, and Comcast is showing it in HD.. ON THE ROAD!!!

As a Magic fan I should feel complimented when you're saying you played an elite team, but to be honest, we aren't there yet. The Magic are a good team with a young core trying to build something good around a great young center who's starting to get used to being a superstar. We're not among the elite in the league (Spurs, Suns, Mavs, Pistons and Celtics). At least, not yet (still missing some pieces for sure).

But you guys fought extremely well without one of the best league players tonight, so yeah, I think you can take a lot of good things from tonight's game. Good luck for the remainder of the season and I by the look of things so far we will meet again in the playoffs. ;)

I totally agree. The fact that we were a prayer away from OT without someone stepping up with some kind of career game to make up for KG says a lot for us as a whole. We don't want to go long stretches without KG, but we still competed with the 3rd seed on the road. Not saying at all we would have won in OT, but we were a lucky shot away from seeing what would happen in OT. I'm not a fan of moral victories, but this could count as one if you wished to do so.

Perk/Howard
Pierce/Turkalu
Allen/Lewis

Yeah, it was a good game for both teams and the fans. Hedo has definitely turned the corner and has gone from a nice player with a great shot to a great offensive player who is playing at an All Star level. I wonder if he'd get the love from the coaches though.

LOL... Not trying to be the spelling police but I'm pretty sure you meant "deficit"... defecate is a WHOLE other thing!

Yeah Orlando isn't quite elite but they are definitely good, and Orlando at full strength is definitely better than Boston without KG - the C's had a good showing.

Does anyone know how long KG will be out?
