Improbable as it seems, the Heat - at 9-33 - see no reason why they can't make a run at the postseason.

"The playoffs are not far-fetched,'' guard Dwyane Wade said after his 35-point showing lifted the Heat to the streak-ending 98-96 win Saturday over the Indiana Pacers. "I played on a team that went 17-4 in our last 21 games to get in the playoffs. It can happen.''

Has this season driven him to insanity? Should we be concerned about his mental state?

He needs to enjoy the All-Star game, then rest until the Olympics.

Wade shouldn't even partake in the Olympics this year around, as hard as it is to say that.

He needs to work on improving his game, like he did after his rookie season, and after the 04/05 season.

nope. one could say a LOT by reading the thread title alone whether one was being serious or comical about this situation, which the latter is definitely true in this case.

What I see here is people want Wade to shut down and take it easy for the rest of the season and try to land a top 3 pick. I doubt Wade will want to give it 50% or whatever for the rest of the season, he'll compete hard no matter what. And from the looks of Pat Reily, I don't think hes quite ready to give up on the season just yet.

wow it's really great to see wade say that because watching the games sometimes it looked like he really didnt want to be there ...i want to keep seeing him play games and not shut it down because he is the only thing that can even make the heat watchable

Pro atheletes aren't like fans. They want to win every game, no matter the situation.

I mean, I know I would want to win every game possible if I played at that level. If I'm not the GM, I want to win. A 15-game losing streak is just plain embarassing, even if a LeBron is coming out in the next draft and you're in a position to get him. That's just the mentality of these players.

And I don't blame them.
