And judging by the number of posters I see with Raptors in there sigs, it seems like there is some odd fascination with Toronto around here...

21,5 and 5 on 46% shooting while averaging 3 shots and probably about 15 touches per game less than last season. Don't ppl actually see his production numbers are still the same as they were last year. Is it so much better to ignore it and jump on the "blame everything on Vince" bandwagon? And yeah, he is so not valuable that Nets couldn't win a damn game w/out him.

ahhhh...a lot of your are jumping on the VC hater band wagon...Hots shots aside...

he has not stepped up like we've needed him to...he does look half man/half old lady at times...but the numbers he is putting up does not deserve this type of disrespect...21 5 and 5 45% 35% 79% and almost a steal a game...

yeh I watch the same Vince you guys do...I'm aware of how his game doesnt resemble the VC we all know...he's been called out publically by former NBA players...and I agree...but he is not the one to blame or through darts at...he's part of the problem here...yeh obviously we would love to see him dominate some more...but this team is struggling big time...

My whole arguement starts w/ the loss of Krstic and ends w. Frank...somewhere in between our big three have underachieved in coming up w/ wins, but I'm sorry, isolating Vince Carter is an easy way out, and a likley place to find fans pointing their finger...

shouldn't Jason Kidd get some of the blame? he's getting triple doubles, but his shooting has been as bad as ever, and he is making a lot worse decisions than he's used to making..he needs to get some of the blame if everyone is going to blame Vince this much..

Lawrence Frank needs to get more blame IMO, he needs to go..

Fugazy numbers. VC has numbers. RJ has numbers. JK has numbers. Players on bad teams have numbers as good as players on good teams. Even the bad numbers can deceive -- Nash turnovers as much as Kidd in less minutes. The only number that can't lie are Wins-Losses, which is the ultimate measure of the whole organization.

It's frustrating to see this from starters that used the be the backbone of this Nets team, who used to carry the terrible bench. Now the Nets starters play is as poor as the bench.

Throw out the numbers, why are we bad? Look beyond and beneath. It's the numbers that don't show up, the little things, the glue moves, the hustle, teamwork, passing on open looks, the chemistry, the synergy, passing speed and crispness, the energy, the defense, imposing one's will and tempo, discipline, clutch and timely play that totally lack. It's gotten to the point we have serious on the court trust issues on both ends.

What's the general attitude on VC?

If a team would take him off your hands for expiring contracts and a pick, would the Nets quickly agree? What about if you couldn't get all expirings but could cut the money owed in about half?

I don't think VC is LVP....
that is insane to say that.....but he does not run go in the paint no more, he is more like a three point shooter now.

Vince needs to play and act how he did in the Sydney Olympics. He needs to play with a chip on his shoulder and with an attitude. ( I think at the time his brother was in trouble with the law or something). Maybe his brother has to get in trouble for him to play well. Anyway, he has no aggression these days. Doesnt attack the rim, doesnt even look like he has passion for basketball. Just comes in the game, loses and has a laugh about it after... Toronto fans got tired of seeing it and i bet some are getting sick of it here too..

If Kidd goes, I think you have to trade Vince...
