SORRY, MEANT FOR TRADE BOARD

Personally, I don't like this deal for Toronto (not even that great for NJ either), but I think some will like it. Could be a decent enough trade

Magloire and Marcus Williams

for

Humphries and Joey Graham (and D. Martin if actually wanted)

NJ gets two of Toronto's toughest players. Humphries is a very solid rebounder w/ some toughness and athleticism. Would definitely benefit from Kidd trying to get him easy looks. He's a young 22, could be a nice contributor for quite some time. Could probably get pretty close to 10 and 10 if given the starting PF role. Even still, should probably be held to about 25 MPG, where he might get you 8 and 6-7 boards.

Toronto gets a cheap, young third guard. Might make trading TJ or even Calderon a bit easier. Clears a roster spot for next season, and makes it easier to re-sign Calderon. Is Marcus Williams actually considered a trade asset?? Guess he might help us make a good draft day deal next sumemr too

Omeloon,

We're moving all trade threads to the trade board. There's a thread about NJ on the second page; if you want to mention it there, by all means do so.

yuck, no way NJ gives up on Marcus this early for Humphries who is kinda redundant when NJ already has Sean Williams and Josh Boone

Marcus Williams sucks, I'd rather keep Hump. And Magloire is not welcome in Toronto.

Hump would be the third or forth best young big man on the Nets...certainly not worth giving up Marcus for.

In what way, shape or form is Marcus Williams Garbage!?

Neither him or Humpries have produced much, but when two players haven't shown much, you take the guy with more potential, which is Marcus Williams EASILY.

Not that this trade is really all that profound or worth discussing, but in what way does Marcus Williams have so much more potential? They were both born in 1985, Humphries has the size and has shown that he can actually be an effective player in the NBA. It isn't like Marcus Williams has demonstrated even a lick of potential as more than a scoring PG in the NBA. I think he's got more potential than Joey Graham, but he hasn't shown any more than Graham has in the NBA. Humphries has shown far more than either of those guys.

Kris is just like Boone but bad.

Rather get Rasho so we at least have a good expiring for next year if he takes his player option.

From what Nets fans have said, and from what I saw at Arizona, he was more of floor general type PG, not a scoring one, but I could be misguided.

Yeah, I meant Uconn, the Marcus Williams from Arizona isn't even in the league at the moment.

Kris Humphries would arguably be NJ's best big man right now. He'd EASILY be NJ's best big man rebounder, and probably best rebounder PERIOD if given the minutes. Sean Williams is the only one on that team doing anything for their front court. He has definitely shown more than Marcus so far - who is shooting a nasty % from the field.

But whatever, I'll move on. Like I said, I'm not even a fan of this trade just thought others could have interest.

lmao, quit being a homer and embarassing raptor fans, Humphries is a good player, but not quite as capable and explosive as Sean Williams. However, Humphries does not carry some baggage like Sean does with the college suspension and all, but even then, Humphries will be REDUNDANT because they alerady have Boone and Sean, hell even Krstic and Nachbar who handles PF occasionally

I'd definitely take Sean Williams over Hump, just saying he'd be producing pretty equal numbers (this year, at least) if playing for New Jersey... which says more about NJ's weak front court than Hump.

Oh wow, my bad. never realized Boon was actually putting up pretty good numbers. For some reason I've never really noticed his play or stats. While I don't think Boon is much better (horrible free throw shooter, and not much different on the boards) having him + Sean Williams definitely doesn't leave as much room for Hum as I thought it did.

Bad trade for both sides, agreed.
