some positives remarks

Post#1 » by dockingsched » Mon Jan 28, 2008 2:44 am

this board has been way too divided lately. i thought i'd take the time to post some positives about some of the players. what are some of your positives? try to keep the negatives out, there's plenty of other threads for that.

sasha: he plays with so much confidence. he doesn't hesitate to shoot and now it actually goes in. i get surprised when it doesn't.

kobe: he's shown us how he can control the game in ways other than scoring. now that he has weapons around him he can create for others and use up energy on the defensive end

farmar: supreme confidence. his shot is so much better, he's a great finisher too.

lamar: his rebounding has been a great lift. being able to get 10 rpg next to bynum and step that up in his absence has been important.

ariza: brings a defensive mindset when he comes in. his attack the rim style pumps everyone up.

kwame: he doesn't quit. he'll turn the ball over, he'll get booed, but he keeps attacking, keeps asking for the ball.

fisher: everyone knew he'd bring much needed leadership, but his career best shooting has been quite the spark.

turiaf: does anyone even refer to him as that cheerleader on the bench anymore? he's making his noise on the court.

How exactly did Odom step it up since Bynum was injured? Last I check, he plays like a little b***h every time he is out there.

Kwame Brown keeps asking for the ball is not a positive thing at all. In fact, the less touch he gets, the better off our offense is.

Do you guys think everyone on this team has the heart of a champion? I mean willing to give/do anything to help the team win?

I honestly think everyone on this team has heart except Kwame, Radman and sometimes Lamar... But I can seriously see us winning a title in the next few years...

if bynum/farmar/turiaf continue to progress like they realistically SHOULD. they lakers are legit title contenders next year.

Do you think our roster has the heart to win a championship? Lamar worries me... I can totally see us making it to the finals next year and him pulling a 2004 Gary Payton

Radman doesnt worry me as much cuz we have Luke/Ariza

Kwame doesnt really worry me at all because 1) we have Bynum and 2) he may not even be back next year

i wouldn't worry about that at all. lamar's job should be to rebound, start the fast break, and score on easy baskets. with gamers like kobe/fisher/farmar/sasha/turiaf/bynum, lamar's mindset is the last of my worries. even the champion miami heat had antoine walker.

Bynum and Ariza come back healthy, we avoid more injuries and the team clicks like it was - as long as we get in the playoffs - I like our chances against any team in the West in a 7 game series.

That's my positivity.

The thing I like about this suqad is there closeness. You can tell that these guys truly like each other and it shows on the court. They even backed up Kwame after his brain fart game.

Here is one positive, if Bynum had played yesterday, there is a good chance that Mr. James wouldn't have had all those nice little layups.

I agree with Dc on this one .

Think about it , we were ballin and then all of sudden we got Mr Lost Angel and the other chlep Rock which I cant recall his username with his 666 post came on here and double thread on the same day about how we were so and so last year , and then the Laker Jinx thread .

I replied by posting we dont need Negative B.S on here .

These posters made a big deal about it .

But look at our season now .

Two days after that thread we lost Bynum for 2 months .
Then we struggled with Sonics and T.W .
Then Ariza goes down for 2 months .
Now we have lost what 4 in a row .

People dont believe that things like this can happen .
Well IT DID .

Call in what you want to call it , but honestly we need to stay positive on here .
All these so and so apprecitation threads isnt really doing us any good .
All it does is bring us bad luck .

If you disagree , then look back a few weeks when we were on top of W.C standings looking like contenders .

Maybe its me , but I did disagree with the Jinx thread and Lakers are 24-13 ......... or whatever our record was when we got JINXed .

IMO
