Just read through this thread and you'll find a whole bunch of people who think Ford is still a reliable player who we should build our team around. I'd assume they could see another GM willing to trade for him since he's such a great asset for the Raptors to have.
As for trading him, if he gets healthy again and gets near the level he was before the injury, BC might be able to trade him for what would be percieved as a bad contract. Two guys who come to mind for me would be Jaric or Q-Rich. Both are players who are in bad situations and might get back to the level they were once at in an environment like this. Any which way there won't be much value in return for Ford, and he doesn't have that much value for us staying here either considering how much he makes and the role he'd have if he came back.
I like and respect TJ and all, but this statement will be the downfall of everyone in this franchise - players, coaches, management, if they even believe 1/10 of this statement. No team, including ours, still has this belief.
