On the other hand, if he did retire it would convince some of the available point guards that he wouldn't come back and take their minutes. It would even make it possible to offer a replacement a second year. And it would free BC to make a trade for a PG since he'd know that T.J. would be coming off the salary cap for luxury tax purposes.
