Don't get your hopes high.. Knicks are seriously f**ked up excuse my language

No excuse needed! Didn't some journalists have the Knicks pegged to win the division at the beginning of the season because they had landed Randolph?

The Knicks scraping into 8th place would be like the Leafs making 8th place - snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. NY needs a high lotto pick in the worst way.

Did you read the "My IDEAL playoff standings"? It's not how I think it will finish, but rather what I think makes intriguing match ups, and the better of the "3-6" teams for the Raptors to face in the first round

What's the worst record in history for a playoff team? The 8th place pacers are on pace for a 35 win season.

I would like to see the bucks make a trade and make a push for the playoffs. They have a lot of talent but a lot of disfunction. I would also like to see Atlanta make it as you really have to feel sorry for there fans with their disappointing management and years of unwisely using their picks.

It's ridiculous, frankly...there are currently nine teams in the Western Conference who would be at worst 4th in the Eastern Conference, and that's not even factoring in the unbalanced schedules.

I believe the Bulls made the playoffs in Jordan's rookie season with something like 32 wins.

Edit: In 1979-80 the Nuggets made the playoffs with a 30-52 record.

Funny you should mention those teams, because among the teams with worse records than the Wizards (who have had the easiest schedule in the NBA to date and are due for a bit of a slide when things get tougher unless they can get Arenas back without and readjustment period) the Bobcats and the Hawks have had the two easiest schedules to date. Those two teams are followed by the Nets, the Knicks and then the Bulls. The Hawks may make it in by default but the Bobcats in particular were never in the playoff race to begin with. They can't win on the road and are heading out west for some major road games.

I actually think the race is down to the Bulls, Pacers, with outside shots going to the Hawks and Sixers (Philly needs to take care of some business against the multiple sub-.500 clubs they face in the near future).
