Moon will win the dunk com just like the Raptors will go 3-0 in the next three games. We might if we get the first one in Washington. Afterall we did lose to Philly, not too long ago. No excuses.

Bynum-less Lakers can be beaten. We beat them last year. Bargnani will be the X-factor. ;)

Would be funny if Jamario did a dunk he named a dunk that won the contest for him after Gilbert. :P

He cant grab a hamburger in the air eat it and dunk it, but he should have some solid power behind his dunks, along with some nice creativity

I hope Jamario yells "Hibachi!" when he dunks.

I agree 100% with Gil, that's exactly my sentiments with Moon... He can jump high but I haven't seen much apart from that...

The good thing is he hasn't been on the team for that long, and he was on the Globetrotters, so that might make him a bit of a wildcard in regards to his dunking style... We haven't seen what he's really capable of...

Just hope he doesn't pull a Nate Robinson and embarasses himself...

Well, Gilbert's views are definitely valid. Jamario hasn't had any acrobatic dunks yet during a game. So far, all his dunks have been simple. I just hope Jamario surprises me, as well as Gilbert and all who doubt him. Hope he puts on a good performance; a lousy one might damper his Cinderella-story this year, haha.

I just hope he can handle being the only one out there. Packed stadium and millions of people watching at home, that's a lot of pressure for a rookie to take in.

I don't see anythinig wrong with what Gilbert wrote..seems like wha i would've said. I haven't seen Jamario really dunk on anyone. And he seems to have slippery fingers with alley-oops

Dunks with power and finese is sexy. Just look at Iggy's windmill the other day.

I think Moon lacks the strength to put power into his dunks.

I haven't seen any impressive dunks from Moon. Presumably he can make impressive dunks, otherwise why did they include him? Does anyone have any links to great dunks Moon has done before joining the Raptors?

It is a bit worrying how many dunks he's missed this year too, especially alley oops.

I'm not worried because a) he played for the Globetrotters and they occasionally put on some showmanship and b) it's the frigging dunk contest, so what if he loses. As long as he doesn't pull a Nate Robinson and take 70 attempts to get one dunk, I'm cool with it. I reckon he'll do well.

Can you imagine Sam's reaction if Moon went and tried a 360, and missed, instead doing of an easy layup/dunk on an uncontested play?

I don't think it's because Moon's unable to do acrobatic dunks, but I think he's smarter than that and doesn't care much for the attention during a game like certain players... hmph hmph... especially from a creative dunk.
To me, two points are two points and there's no need to risk it. Moon will save his creativity and acrobatic dunks for events like this.

Moon has also said before his defense is what got him where he is, and that's what he focuses on.

He does have the ability to get high and throw down, and with his handles, I think some crazy athletic dunks are probably well within his capabilities.

It'll all boil down to how much he practices them.

In case you didn't know jamario has huge-ass hands, that's 1 of his main attributes aside from his world-class vertical. Moon will surprise with dunks you haven't seen yet, just watch son, just watch, he wasn't hire by the Globetrotters to be a waterboy, know what'm sayin.
