Checking out

Post#1 » by Manocad » Tue Jan 29, 2008 12:29 pm

I've just tendered my resignation as moderator. I'm working a s***load of hours on a pretty consistent basis and checking in regularly as moderator has become more of a job than fun. And for me when it starts being more work than fun it's time to give it up.

You guys are a great bunch and I'll still be around as a poster.

And I'll still extend party invites.

Dissapointing, but understandable. I hope you still post as much as you can.

You did a heck of a job, man(ocad)! It was a pleasure being one of your subjects during your reign as a mod.

Edit: Funny that this happens RIGHT as C-Webb sign with another team. Just admit it: you are a C-Webb fan boy and the fact he is moving on has left you an emotional wreck.

Then it's all goodz! :D

Sucks to see Cow and now you both step down in such a short span of time but such is life.

Thanks for the time spent and work tendered and take that name tag off the door on your way out before it gets tossed in the rubbish. :o

Thanks Manocad.

So who will join ajaX82 as a new Pistons mod I wonder...

OT - At least I can call ya if I have an extra ticket since you will no longer be PMable. :D

Damn, our moderators are dropping like flies here. Sucks Manocad, you were a good mod, at least your stickin around though.

I nominate the guy w/ the Tayshaun Prince avatar that always posts news articles (highest recommendation) and the guy with the Bill Laimbeer/ Larry Bird avatar.

Guy w/ Tick avatar - you did a fine job.

Thanks Manocad for your time as Mod. It should be fun and you've chosen a good time to step out.

To all of us posters, please take into consideration the time the Mods take out of their lives to referee stupid flaming threads and such - let's try to be easy on our mods so they have less work to do and they can enjoy the site as well.

Thanks for the recommendation. I do like to consider the title of my avatar as "Bill Laimbeer elbowing Bird in the throat"

LOL - I'm picturing nasty and his hair trigger as a mod. Boston posters beware. :o

Just say NO nasty, we love you just the way you are.

Maybe we can take it further and bring back YKHIR, only Detroit fans allowed unless they want a verbal beatdown.

Pistons #1 would be my choice as he has a level headed approach, posts often enough and has been around awhile. (and he's Cow's long lost twin  )

TheBigLip is right there with him.

I am sure that I am missing a few deserving candidates, sorry.

I am also tempted to nominate jab just so he will post more.

Are you trying to pave the way for an easier job when you take over? :D

Not to worry, this board is easily one of the mellower (Is that a word? Eh who cares, it works.) ones to deal with as we usually don't get too out of control. We do have to make the mods earn their pay once and a while though. So beware.

He speaks the truth, im glad you see this. But really our board is quite easy to mod, we have a solid group of posters who respect each other. Ive had to to very little "modding," if thats even a word. Keep it up boys

Manocad, please don't go into protective services and change your name just because you're an ex-mod. :)
