Bosh vs. Caron: Battle for the last All-Star spot?

Post#1 » by Alfred » Tue Jan 29, 2008 4:09 pm

The two back to back home and home games against the Wizards are not only pivotal for the Raptors and Wizards in this new year, I think they will be watched closely by the coaches to see who is more deserving of an All-Star berth. Bosh and Caron have both been playing incredibly this season, with Caron emerging as one of the true stars of the Eastern Conference.

This home and home duel between two of the Eastern Conference's best forwards will be a battle, not only for the 'W', but also for their reputation. Considering both Bosh and Caron are on the bubble of the All-Star reserve list, coaches wouldn't have to look far to see who deserves the nod for the final spot, the question is, who will it be? Will Bosh get the upper hand, shredding the Wizard's defense? Or Will Caron destroy Toronto with his dead-eye shooting and finishing skills?

The voting is surely over now. The announcement is on Thursday and has to be wrapped up before then so TNT can line up the film and interviews that go with it.

Man, even if the raptors loose both games, Bosh is still going to make the allstar team. There is no way they are going to leave him off this year.

Pretty sure they're both locks. I can see Bosh, Butler, and Peirce in the ASG. After them Josh Smith, Gerald Wallce, Hedo Turkaglu etc... arn't as close.

I would guess that the coaches have already decided on who's gonna come and who isn't (barring injuries, of course).

I think both Butler and Bosh will end up being on the team. There's no way Bosh can be left off... and Butler is very deserving as well.

Bosh and Butler are not on the bubble, they are in without question. They are the top 2 non-starters all-stars in the east.

butler has to be in, if he doesn't make the all star team then it'll be a disgrace to the league

Bosh and Butler should both be no-brainers for all-star subs along with Billups and Pierce.

Players battling for the other 3 spots are the one's on the bubble.

Masai is overrated.
I dont get how so many people believe in the raptors, they have zero to chance to win it all.

Chris should make it and even Vince Carter has a shot.

Glen Grunwald still rules the land.

Caron & CB are a lock....they've both been playing great ball. Bosh was iffy in December but has plaeyed GREAT ball this month. Both are locks. We'll see Thursday.
