They need to shed the whole hip hop theme from the ACC

Top hated things:
1. Begging the audience to cheer and saying the team needs "help" near the end of close games.
2. Music during play.
3. "everybody clap your hands"/any overused, bad in the first place crap like that.

I'm a hip hop fan, but there's so much great hip-hop/electronic/acid jazz type stuff out there that I think they could do a way, way better job without changing it to a ho-down. I like the drummers, kinda primal.

Today's NBA is geared towards the youth of America...and us. Typically, young sports fans are in to hip hop music. Also, do you think the players would be happy if Jose or TJ walked the ball up the court to 70's rock music? You've gotta be kiddin' me...get out the salami and cheese, this thread's over.

A couple observations:

1) A lot of people seem to think the music is played for the benefit of the players, but that is not the case (with the exception of the music in warm-ups, as I know that VC used to hand pick that). If your players on the court are paying attention to the music rather than the game, or are influenced by what is being played, they probably shouldn't be on the court. The music is totally part of the in-game experience for fans, the players should be indifferent to it, if they are even paying attention to it at all.

2) It looks like we finally found something that people love to debate more than Andrea Bargnani.

The only thing I'm disappointed in is the fact that that stupid "Everybody clap your hands" found it's way in to the ACC.

Other than that, style of music just fits perfectly with the game. I don't really understand those that want it to be quiet, if anything we need more people in the crowd making noise all the time.

The music during the game helps the overall entertainment experience. I've been to a hockey game and it's so quiet during actual game play that I just found myself getting bored.

Again, it's just about doing what caters to most people in the crowd. I personally get so caught up in every play that I could care less what kind of music is playing during game play. But hey, to each his/her own!

Getting rid of hiphop is a ridiculous idea. It's not all hiphop, there's r&b, dance etc. listen up, but if you're waiting for Arcade Fire it ain't happening. Look at the charts, if it is up there and has a good beat, it will be played, simple as that.

Those mixes they have work well, last game they had a good dance type one during the 3rd I think. Every now and then they have a banger, i.e like Lovestoned mixed, or Calabria (I assume they've used this)

The dance pak they might as well get rid off, they are almost being phased out or something, no one really cares about them anymore. They need to incorporate better dance moves, some innovative stuff instead of just doing that same twirl.

The inflated Raptor is the real star of the show.

That DJ as annoying as he is, I guess you could argue is a necessary presence.

That 3rd quarter circus type tune gets on my nerves, but it's good for the kids.

They need to study GSW games, for more ideas on improvement.

ETA: Music during the games I can do without, it should be banned leaguewide IMO
