we already picked up his option for next year i believe. In regards to the article, I doubt Bogans opts, do you? And if we sign another SG for MLE this offseason that makes JJ the third string SG again. I dont know what Otis wants him to be patient for.

It's all a big scheme.

JJ is actually very good, but we're purposely repressing him.

Reason?

Because when his rookie contract runs out and he signs as a restricted fa elsewhere, we get a sweet deal because nobody gives him a good deal.

That, or he just sucks with big minutes.

good to know JJ is still working hard and looking like a player in practice. I guess he'll just have to wait his turn.

If we had a PG that could play defense he could play more . Maybe we could try him out there with Keyon

Differences:
1. JJ won't get the offer Darko did, no way.
2. We'll be able to sign JJ to any obscene amount that other teams offer him (if we want to), that was a problem with Darko -- if it wasn't we'd still have him probably.

IMO, he may as well get the opportunity to play. At this point, he can't play any worse on defense than Arroyo or Nelson. Guards repeatedly blow by Arroyo like he has weights around his ankles and routinely get into the middle of the defense. At least when JJ does play, his man has to at least work to get open or work to get off a shot.

Too bad we actually have defending SGs.

If Redick were a PG he'd get playing time most likely since none of our PGs can defend.

the only guards that we have that can actually defend are dooling and evans, and they play the most, besides nelson

very true...same can be said for any player in the NBA, Paul Pierce could have avoided the L and sent the game into overtime should he have stuck with Hedo instead of dropping back on Arroyo...

Perhaps it's Gundy's fault for not getting in KeBo's ear to stick like glue to Ray Ray. :dontknow:

it might be...you would think a solid 3 point threat would know that when a bonafide real deal 3 point marksman grabs the ball on the high curl that he's probably going to pop up for a 3...you would think...it's a respect thing...
