Foye playing tonight!!!!!

Post#1 » by mafesto » Tue Jan 29, 2008 10:28 pm

This is excellent news!

Wolves' Foye says he's playing Tuesday

Timberwolves' guard Randy Foye says he will make his season debut Tuesday against the Bulls after missing the first half of the year with a knee injury.

"Yeah, I'm going to play, get out there, do what I can do," Foye told the Pioneer Press today after shootaround. Coach Randy Wittman has not confirmed that he'll play, but did say earlier that Foye looked good in practice and might "be back soon." Don't be surprised to see Foye back in action tonight. Finally. Im guessing once he gets his legs back the lineup will be:
C- Jefferson
PF- Gomes
SF - McCants
SG - Telfair ??
PG - Foye

Or will it be a little different?

I'm guess that it'll be:

Jefferson
Gomes
Jaric
McCants
Foye

I'm pretty sure Foye would be playing a little bit of SG while Telfair gets his minutes at point. I doubt the coaching staff would give Foye 38 minutes to begin with, anyway.

Give him a couple games first. Right now we will see Foye likely as the back up at the 1 and sometimes the 2. When he gets better it will likely be Foye/Shad starting with Jaric and Bassy would be the primary back up for the 1 with FOye and Shad/Jarc at the 2.

Al/Gomes/Shad/Jaric/Foye
Brewer/BassyWalker/cookie

Good lil group.

Telfair would not be the sg but a Telfair/Foye backcourt is an option. It will probably depend on the match ups. Some nights Jaric or Brewer might start. Or if Theo ever comes back Gomes could start at sf again.

Cool sig C.Lupus. Have you had if for awhile and been waiting to bust it out or have you been using it and I have just not seen it?

This is great from the perspective that the Wolves are on a hot streak lately and are heading into 3 game stretch including @Bulls,Bulls,Clippers.

In the article, RW says Foye comes off the bench for ~15 mins.

It has been said that Foye will split his minutes at pg and sg.

3 guard rotation with foye/bassy/jaric with a 3 rotation of Brewer and Shad.

That is a nice 5 man split for the 3 spots. I like this alot.

Yeah, right. You put up a Foye sig and he comes back in the same night. That's some pretty convenient voodoo.

C.lupus is a witch! Burn him!
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''
