Jamario Moon's broken jumpshot

Post#1 » by Illuminati » Wed Jan 30, 2008 3:27 am

Why don't any of the coaches tell him to pass it off? He's a liability on the offensive end when he gets the ball EVEN if no one is guarding him.

I hope Jamario practices this summer by taking like 1000 jumpshots a day.

Dave Hopla would sure be nice right now...

it would have to be working in the first place to be considered broken, every time he gets the ball I'm like "drive moon drive!!" and if he stops I'm just praying he's going to pass, or strap on his jetpack and dunk it from wherever he's standing.

umm...he is inconsistent but not a horrible shooter . . . he misses some he should hit and hits some he should miss.

he's no that much of a liability. he seems like a worse shooter when compared to guys like AP and kapono who hit their open threes all the time and even when contested. he is inconsistent but not a horrible shooter

He gets too much air on his jumpshot.

If Moon is going to take jumpers he shouldnt be on the floor. Hes not getting paid to take jump shots and its the most frustrating thing in the world that he doesnt drive more! He needs to fix his shot selection

He's good for 2-4 missed open jumpshots per game.

At leaset he's shooting 45%...

We have a 7 foot "Center" on our team shooting 37%....more pressing concern IMO

Cool, but jamarios not the reason for the loss. Far from it.

If this isn't about the loss, then yeah, you're right.

The problem is, our team relys too much on the jumpshot. The jumpshot nearly took us out of the game in the 2nd half. We need an efficient slasher, to just cut the defense and dunk the ball, or draw a foul. When they were shutting bosh out of the game... If our team couldn't hit shots, we have nothing. All we do is shoot jumpshots, damn.

I guess you can say that... this isn't about the loss it's just frustrating. We lost on the defensive end. What the hell is Kapano doing on the floor? He's a stiff... he's always getting blown by on defence and doesn't even ATTEMPT to box out his man. Pathetic.

LOL. Pump fake?!? Teams are giving him to shoot, man! Who would bit on his pump fakes. He is offensively challenged. Obviously his IQ is not high enough to advise to use his athletic skills and drive the basket. And it seems that the guy is without heart and so laid back. All these scouts who never picked him cannot be so wrong.

hm....who was the best slasher that used to keep us in games when bosh was injured? O YEA!!
tj ford...so stop hating on him.

i love calderon, he is a great driver but tj ford is a better slasher and foul-drawer.

sorry about the tj V jose remark my bad.

back on point ->
jamario shouldnt take jumpshots but he seems confident that he'll hit them . . .

anyhow, its butt-ugly but he isnt as much of a liability as u guys imply.

The only way Moon is going to be a viable offensive threat is if he develops his jump shot. Lets face it, it doesn't seem like Moon has the handle to be an efficient slasher. If he can develop a solid jump shot to keep the defense off balance, it will help out his drives.

Also, does anyone else notice that Moon has a terrible follow through in his shot?

At least Joey Graham would bulldozer the lane and hurt the opposing player, Jamario Moon time and time again settles for his ugly looking jumpshot that clanks off the rim. I'm getting tired of seeing that.

+100

BUT he really needs to force it to the rim at least once out of those 2-3 open jumpers he takes.

definitely sick of jamario's nasty jumper. it looks like he releases the ball as he's on the down-end of his jump

At least Joey's shown progress in regard to his ball handling, what the hell is Jamario doing?
