KT is proven, JJ is not. KT fits a need, JJ does not. Easy call for me.

^ well obviously the team is not in crisis mode because we are doing fine, but we are struggling with rebounding and it's an obvious weakness because we are getting beat on the boards regularly and it will make us pay especially in the playoffs..so while it's not a HUGE problem right now, it doesn't mean you cant fix that whole somehow because later on it will show...

I like it. Thomas is a rebounding machine, and we're one of the worst rebounding teams in the league.

I agree perhaps making small upgrades I just think it is funny how many people on this board are clammering to find trades and answers to problems.....when the team is 10 games over .500.

For the record, I don't like the rebounding either, but according to the stats, we outrebound our opponents. Not by much but still, I guess as fans we see it worse than it really is.

28-18 And so what? It's obvious this team cannot compete deep into the playoffs with this lineup and never will unless it fills some major holes. So we beat a Celtic team that was missing Garnett. Thats like them beating us with us missing Howard. KT would be perfect for this team and he'd have Howards back which I am all for. With the Knicks he was very much an Oakley type player with more offense.

Its not that obvious until we see them in the playoffs. Until then you are just making an assumption and acting like its a fact.

What is your point about the Celtic game anyway......or just spewing nonsense. No one mentioned that game and besides, we beat them with Garnett, so your point is meaningless.

You can keep on dreaming on. This team minus a PF will never get past Boston or Detroit or Cleveland.

This team is not without it's flaws, but yeah, we're 10 games over .500 for the first time in forever. This team will likely be a team that wins close to 50 games if not more so, and has a good shot at winning the division.

Considering where we were the last 4 years, I don't think a one of us has a real right to bitch and whine about what we don't have. We're finally winning, be happy, quit being the most pessimistic boards on RealGm.

Winning a championship takes time. MJ took 7 years. The Bulls are a prime example of how it usually works. They took the following path

1. Crap Team
2. Good team once MJ was drafted
3. Contender after MJ's 5 season.
4. Champions 6 times over.

The Magic have so far followed the same path. Right now theyre between 2 and 3. Lets get juiced for the future!!!
You look confused...let me fill you in.

You make guarantees alot. How is the whole Magic going to miss the playoffs and not win 35 games going for you? Oh thats right, it went from that to they'll never get passed Boston, Detroit or Cleveland. Well they surpassed your expectations yet you still keep on hating.

The majority of us are very pleased with the team's overall record this season. This has been one of the most enjoyable Magic seasons in many years.

But, small upgrades definitely need to be made. The title of the thread is misleading...it's not like "the answer" to make us a good team or something, but a possible solution to one of our weaknesses.

Most of us would agree that after Howard, out middle is pretty weak. Trading a couple of lesser used players for Kurt Thomas seems like a smart move in my mind.

Yeah...but come on, the Celtics are flat out dominating teams this season. We had to play balls out the first time, and they still came back and almost beat us in the end...second time around, same thing - but without KG.

We have to be spot on more of the time than they do to actually win a game, let alone an entire playoff series.

I like Kurt Thomas but he's not a long-term solution. Isn't he older than Battie?
