Yup Baron wasn't 100% and I think it showed.

Damn I hope that flu stops going around. Do professional basketball players get flu shots?

warriors just arent very talented....They play hard..but the only time they win is when they player harder than their opponent..that's tough to do 50 to 60 games a season.

On one end. After the first, once Yao got a sweat on him, Al played pretty well on defense.

I was aware that Pietrus was going to end up in positive terrirtory for the game, but a lot of that has to do with him spelling the stinky Al our worst performer of the night was off the floor for many of the minutes Pietrus was on, and Monta got a lot of his touches during those minutes.

But Pete was 0-fer, had 3 fouls and just played plain ol bad.

The one game +/- is as useless as Souvlaki says.

Any stat w/o context is terrible... giving individual +/- without context is becoming fashionable

But you hit it right on why Pietrus had the +...

We played a pretty good game. We just had a rough first quarter but there's no quit in this team, you have to give the Warriors that much.

I am officially convinced the one game +/- is worthless. You will never see me use it again.

I rarely even notice, let alone comment on the refs/foul situation. You will I'm sure take that for what it's worth to you, but I know my perspective, and this isn't something I notice or gripe about every often if at all. If it made my radar, I'm prety satisfied that I saw what I thought I saw.

I don't have any expectation that I'll convince a Yao fan.

Good game anyway. He exectued what he was trying to do exceptionally.

actually it was us fans... who have been calling for Yao to use his elbows more to create space...

like how Shaq use to get away with alot of offensive fouls in his heyday...

Yao is the exact opposite...where he gets called for fouls.... when a guard runs into his back, when he gets thrown down on the ground... and of all things once when he was taking a fade away shot....

most games...if you watch closely Yao gets shoved while being guarded from behind... with two hands on his back...(foul) and he will get a two hand shove on the vast majority of his jump shots...

I bet if you watch the game tape again... this time watching your defender(s) are doing...you will see for yourself... there is lots of You tube examples too....

so yes we have been calling for Yao to play (dirty) as you say... since he is the worst officiated player there is... what would you do if he was your center?

Horrible first quarter, but a great comeback and they worked very hard. We outscored them by eleven if you throw out the first quarter.

I think we re-learned something last night. We started to really push the ball to get back into the game. Everyone who brought the ball up pushed the tempo and it was a welcome sight.

It took the best game of Yaos career to beat us after they dominated us in the first.

Did we really expect to win every road game against good teams?

Baron looked like he didn't feel well. I was surprised he gave as much as he did.

CJ, please push tempo more and drive the ball to the hoop. You scored 26 per in the D-league and shot tons of FT's. We need more of that from you kid. Stop being so passive.

Pietrus played with intensity, but made some bad mistakes. He was bothering Yao though. Somebody told him to turn it up a notch.

What was the deal with Azu? Why didn't he play much at all?

Me thinks Petey is being looked at.

Yao -2 tonight.

Effing Novak. where was the scouting report on him?

One thing I wished we would have done in the final 2 minutes was double Yao early. Let one of the other guys hit outside shots to win. Don't let the refs decide this one, because Yao was money from the charity stripe.

I'd have forced someone else to beat us. That I could have lived with.

That was THE best game he's had as a pro.

I don't care if he scored higher in some other game, but you have to take into account the fact that the Warriors had his number of late.

Yao and his team-mates openly spoke about how they were gonna do things differently.

I've NEVER seen the passion and grit that he showed in the game.

Where are all the playoff wins to back up your claim?

That had a playoff atmosphere to it last night and that was the BEST game he's played thus far.

We should of played O'Bryant and Perovic at the 5..Biedrins at the 4...Yao would never have gone off like that...Then which rockets were going to beat us? Luther Head and Shane Battier

Pietrus also had 3 steals, got rebounds and played aggressive D. He made no shots..but at least didn't MISS a lot either.

Take a look at the Indy box score..Murphy had a + 20 in a loss. Scored..8 boards,4 asst, some steals and a block. Dun also had a good line and a nice + but JO was a DNP,Detroit got the W.

The Rox figured a counter to our formerly effective Yao defense. We stayed small and small wasn't doing it. Kosta,POB,B Wright....7-2,7-0,6-10.....dnp. Biedrins played half the game. :wavefinger:

We need to get wins vs the Rox and Jazz or we can be .500+ and still the 10 seed. I don't expect much boost from Webber. Croshere at this time is probably as effective.
CENSORED... No comment.
