Johnson believes leaving Phoenix was right move

It's definitely the right decision. With Nash dominating the ball, JJ wouldn't have developed, i.e. unfolded, the way he has been in Atlanta. Look at Amare, his low post game is still undeveloped due to lack of touches, and the team's focus on moving the ball.

Now, how the Hawks would be if the organization wasn't a mess and acquired Amare in the summer in the KG sweepstake, say for Horford, Smith, and Sheldon Williams and a pick or two!

Amare/M.Will/Childress/JJ plus who ever is playing point would rock in teh east!

Maybe I'm the only fan that would feel we gave up too much to acquire him. It's a lot to give up to fix one inside problem. We move two defensive players for Amare and we move future pick(s)? Not a good idea!

On top of that I don't want Josh Childress starting and we continue with our point guard problem.

I'm with Johnson on this one.

Had he stayed in Phoenix, he would have been a good role player. Probably not a superstar simply because he wouldn't have had the same opportunities that he had in Atlanta.
