Jalen is an idiot. I can't stand when guys in suits try to suggest "conspiracy." KG has a minor affliction, and one that could become serious if not taken care of properly as Tommy and Hondo said last night in during the broadcast. If it were the playoffs, KG probably would play, but it is January and not worth risking.

besides you might as well rest him if your playing Miami. <g> We could have rested Pierce too and still won by 20.

Last year I injured my knee pretty badly when there were 3 mins left of the final game of the season. There was no way I was going to sit down. I knew that it was going to hurt after the game, but I kept on playing.

I messed up my ligaments (a slight tear) and I had to be on crutches for a while. I couldn't train for a few weeks.

That was just the adrenaline that kept me going. Jalen Rose must be aware of this. But I guess he is just making statements for us, the people, to talk about.

I really think that KG is hurt.

Someone said that he was so frustrated about not being able to play that he stayed in the locker room, not sure how accurate that is.

Doc said at the Orlando game that KG was "sulking" in the locker room becuase he medical staff/couching staff wouldn't let him play.

No, I meant Hondo. He was in the stands and Dickerson interviewed him. It was actually pretty good. He had a abdominal strain which made him miss 13 games or so and told KG to let it heal. He actually remembered the name of the actual affliction which prompted Cousy to say "he must be having a senior moment"

They should rest KG through the all-star break..IMHO. Why risk it? We might lose a game or two..but it won't be the end of the world.

Are you kidding me? That's seven more games. That's crazy talk. I'd say if he doesn't feel well against the Mavs then rest him for one more game. Our next game isn't until next Tuesday anyway so that's over a full weeks rest in total. That should be enough for a minor abdominal muscle strain.

The C's have a history of prolonging and excerbating "minor" injuries by rushing guys back too fast. What's wrong with bringing them back slower for a change?

I can imagine KG getting a shot of something for the pain in the locker room, plus adrenalin kicking in and he could easily move that way at the end of the game.

KG wouldn't stand for sitting when he could be playing, short and simple.

I'm sure everyone here has played through an injury that hurt like hell the next day. I've played on sprained ankles, a sprained knee, and a (slightly) torn calf muscle myself and I'm an old fat guy. Jalen's a joke.

let's see, at 20 million, ( I made that salary up) that's $240,000 per game for KG, I'm betting the medical staff has looked at him pretty carefully.

Yeah and they handled Wally's injuries so well. They probably ruined what is left of that guys career...not that it was that stellar a career but still.

Going a little bit off topic, but Wally had the dunk of the night yesterday. He threw it down over Timmy.
I agree that overplaying him probably shortened his career, but he's not done yet.

Jalen Rose is an idiot. His brain is fried from all of the dope he smoked over the years.

Ainge was on the radio today and said how KG is definitely injured and shouldn't be playing right now. He also said that it's much more important to have a healthy team by the playoffs rather then securing home court advantage.

So it sounded like he wanted to keep KG out for some time, although I'm sure KG isn't going to be happy with that and won't be able to sit out too long.

I think the ORL game was precautionary, KG said that he didn't come out because he didn't want to be like Shaq last night after every significant play the put his mug on TV. He hasn't sat on the sideline in a suit much so National TV isn't the way to start.

Last night was pity, KG may be hurt but he isn't injured and my guess is that was Rose's point.

Yeah hold him out at least to the all-star break - though not letting him play in the game might be too much..for him to take..
