Why doesn't Steve Novak play more often? He was tearing up a bit during the summer league.

your key phrase is tearing it up in the d-league...any one can do that, and that doesnt really mean they are gonna be a good player in the nba..and plus his defense is a major problem.

He also blew 2 big offensive possessions down the stretch that could've cost us tonight. He's at best going to be a situational player, I doubt he'll ever get regular rotation minutes.

his defense is one of the worst at NBA level
he doesn't look as bad tonight because the Warriors are knocking down shots from everywhere in the 4th quarter

he got opened the first few possessions because nobody is paying attention to him
after 2 shots made Barne just stay close to him
basically just spreading the floor more for Yao
but with him unable to do anything else (at least able to dribble the ball) cost us

I will say I like how Adelman has subbed Novak in. Each time the past 2 games he runs a down pick for Novak out of a timeout to get him going and immediately establish him as a threat. He then simply is more or less a decoy to spread the court and for specific purposes (FTs, last possessions where we need a 3, etc.). Pretty much exactly how Matt Bullard was used.
