As dominant as Yao was in this game, the ability to hold the lead while Yao is resting on the bench is another key point in this win. When Yao sit in 2nd quarter, the reserves managed to hold on to the lead. In the 1st few minutes in the 4th quarter, the reserve units also managed to hold the lead giving Yao valuable rest time. Yao only came back in the 4th around the 6th minute mark.

lol just want to know how the looming recession is affecting the job market

it's my company own decision
most of those got laid off are in the same department
because the board didn't support their new stuff and feel there's no need to keep that many people
those they like to keep got move to different department to take over some other people spot
turnout my department actually got more people (with 2 more spots open)
why don't they just hire contractor or intern student when they need people
i hate to see them keep hire full time then laid them off

ps
my 1st laid off experiment is the worst
cause one of them is my good friend (she the one that got me the job in the first place)
they laid her off while she's on vacation out of the country
lucky they extended her visa to allow her get back to the state

Rockets are now 1.5 games behind Blazers, Nuggets, Warriors, 3.5 games from Lakers (whom has lost their last 3 games).

Sonics are leading spurs by 3 with 12 sec left...

Edit: Sonics won over spurs!
Spurs has a tough road trip and may drop more games.

Don't look now but the Sonics are up 88-85 on SA with 12 seconds remaining. If SA does in fact lose this game tonight, and they keep slumping like they have been (Parker's out indefinitely), do you think they may be one of the teams that eventually fall out of the playoff race?

It will be a major surprise if Spurs didnot make it to the PO. But this season, the west are so stack and the possibility for spurs to miss PO maybe there

I was reading clutchfan post game analysis and one poster brought the mascot injury as a good "tactic" to get Yao more rest time. Hmm.. maybe they can do that when Yao need more rest

The lakers are leading now.. can't depend on the knicks :nonono:

TP means a lot to that team. He probably gets like 90% of that team's easy buckets in transition. Their other 2 scorers in Duncan and Ginobli really have to work for their points. I expect them to struggle a lot while TP is out (in fact TP is IMO the main reason they are in a funk recently because he wasn't 100%).

What is the Spurs record without one of Parker or Ginobili?
I just want to see how good Duncan really is.

Kinda glad McGrady didn't play. This was Yao's monkey. And he did great last night.

lots of praise to Yao but not enough to our role players
this is the type of game our role players stepped up so the Warriors can't crowd their defense on Yao
Scola and Battier did it early in the 1st quarter (no idea why they can't do it in the other quarters)
Head and Alston hit big shots in the 4th
they need to continue to do that instead of just throw it down to Yao
we got lucky those referees actually calling foul for Yao
games like the Hornets, Sixers, etc Yao didn't get the same calls

Return to Houston Rockets
