I tried to figure out this trade. The Mavs have to be sending players to Portland as well and getting back players from both NJ and Por. The players I tried to send out to Por besides Ager was Terry, not Harris. I feel Harris is still our future and could benefit from Kidd's tutelage. Plus, I feel Harris and Kidd could play better together in the backcourt than Terry and Kidd could.
If we could just close games with Luka, Kyrie, Green, Maxi, and Wood that'd be great...

Portland does makes sense, I heard they are going to try to consolidate some of their young talent because they believe they can already compete, remember they still got major talent overseas like Rudy Fernandez which will be here next year...
Also about Diop people should realize that his contract is expiring and next year it will cost us a minimum of $5M/year to resign him which is makes it a little easier to trade him ...
Kidd would make Howard, Harris, and Dirk a lot better and having a big PG would be a major help, I like this scenerio ...
TRADE MACHINE LINK
Kidd / Harris / Barea
Harris / Kidd / Jones
Howard / Hassel
Dirk / Bass
Damp / Przybilla

The New Jersey Nets are in serious negotiations with the Dallas Mavericks and Portland Trail Blazers about a blockbuster three-way trade that would send Jason Kidd to the Mavericks, league sources said Wednesday afternoon.
In the proposed trade, Dallas and Portland would send the Nets a package that includes the Mavs' Devean George and Jerry Stackhouse and Blazers forwards Travis Outlaw and Channing Frye and guard Jarrett Jack. Mavericks point guard Devin Harris would be sent to Portland. Along with Kidd, the Nets would send reserve forward Malik Allen and center Jamaal Magloire to Dallas.
The Nets would also receive at least one future No. 1 pick and cash. It's expected that New Jersey would work a buyout with Stackhouse and allow him to be a free agent. Other players could be included to balance the exchange of contracts.
