^^^ Yuck!

I don't think there are any trades that would really make me happy about getting Kidd (not to mention the way he left and what he said about the organisation). I remember him taunting PHX that NJ were going to steal Marion from us when he became a free agent.

If we get Kidd, Nash basically becomes a spot-up shooter with poor D. If Nash runs the show Kidd is a poor shooter ... so how will they co-exist?! Either way we won't be using either to their full potential.

Basketball's not about just having the 5 best players on the court, it's about having the best team that fits well and plays like a team.

I don't think that they could play on the court together at the same time; I envision Kidd as Nash's backup, playing about 18-20 minutes a night when Nash isn't on the floor. The offense stagnates so much when Nash sits, and I feel like this is a decent way to remedy that. Having Kidd/DJ/Hill/Skinner off the bench would be awesome, IMO.

I cant even believe this is being legitimately discussed.

No Kidd, ever again. There's no room for him in this one-horse town.

So our only big man off the bench is Skinner? Great.

We trade our starting forward (Amare or Marion, one of them has to be included) for a backup guard, makes sense. Lets see...we need a big man desperately, so yea, lets go out and get another PG to backup Nash.

Barbosa is much more valuable then Kidd in any trade. Moving both LB and Marion for Kidd sets the SUNS back rather than improves them.

Anyway, no way the suns trade for him. We can't afford it. I would love to have him here tho. If the suns land him, the only way is if he comes to terms in a buy out, and signs for peanuts to play with

Thanks Eastside. LOL I was kinda serious with my first trade. I know i don't post much here so you guys don't know me well. I like to be sarcastic with just a bit of truth tossed in for fun.

I have been kind of down on Amare. I'm starting to get over it. I just miss the days when he could go off for like 50 on bad teams like it was nothing.

The other thing is that teams are getting better playing our style and I would hate to see Jason Kidd land on some team that could now be a threat.

I just wanted to start a thread and get things going, couldn't think of an easier way than to come up with some (Please Use More Appropriate Word) trade that in an odd way I was serious about.

amare has only 1 50 point game in his entire career, so i dont know what you are talking about?

also - he still can destroy teams at will, but doesnt, not because of his own fault or lack of skill but because this suns team now, for better or worse, is more team orientated with 5 players averaging 15+ points and no 1 focal point on offense other than nash

back then, it was amare and everyone else was complimentary but dantoni obviously doesnt like all his eggs in one basket so has taken the more versatile "team" route

nothing at all to get down on amare about

i cant believe anyone can be down on amare at the moment? dude is on fire

What drives me crazy is how many are so quick to throw Barbosa in trades. To me He is just about untouchable. Not only is he one of my favorite players but signed here for less money because he loves this team.

That is what we need. Just like the spurs Manu, Tony, and Duncan all took less money to stay with the team and thats why they are the team they are.

The joe Johnson dramma was such a buzz kill after 2005 and then the off season BS with Marion just made me want to puke! How could you not want to play for the suns.

Things look very good though, we have had some problems but still have one of the best records in the league and have not even really found our groove yet!

Let's just hope Mike D keeps Doris in the starting line up!

I hear you SDU.

Your right he has been on fire lately. My feelings came a while back when he ditched practice because he was all but hurt about not getting enough touches in the last game.

Things have turned around since then. I think I have also been upset about the Problems with Doris. I may have kinda taken this out on Amare.

It looks like They are starting to gel better together and Amare is starting to impose his will more in games. Defense is getting better also.

I don't know what it is...... I think for some reason I feel that we really need Boris to play like he did when he was the MIP. To win it all this year

This team has won without Amare and that was because of Diaw. I feel that Diaw is actually more important to our system than Amare is.

This one actually isnt all that bad. Yes we do lose Amare, but we get a lot of depth that completely fit into the Suns system.

I mean you start Nash/Bell/Hill/Marion/Diaw (Starting Diaw has shown to be a big plus for this team and him. Weather he starts at center or as a starter over Hill works)

Barbs/Hill/Nocioni/Thomas/Skinner

we'd still have extra bench players to sub in with:
Duhon/Noah/Kryhapa

With this trade we'd have to waive Pike and Marks or put both DJ and Tucker in the NBDL for the rest of the year though. It would give the Suns some youth at numerous positions. The future of the Suns would include Barbs/Diaw/Nocioni/Noah/Thomas/Sefalosha. Plus, I don't think this would hurt the Suns as much as a lot of people think. Diaw works VERY WELL in the Suns system as a starter WITHOUT Amare (remember 2 years ago?)

EDIT** I think Kryhapa would benefit the Suns system as well. He's been lost on the end of the Bulls bench because of Nocioni/Deng/Thomas. I remember he was an up and coming beast on the boards when he was with Portland. He's still fairly young and inexpensive to extend as well.

a 45-man (men) 3-way trade would go down as the biggest of all time wouldnt it.. hehe.

but that pretty much gives Bulls and Suns a new team... its unfathomable.

http://www.northjersey.com/sports/nets/14896561.html

The Nets are discussing a complicated three-team scenario with the Mavericks and Blazers in which Kidd would go to Dallas, league sources said.

In return, the Nets would get back young players (Jarrett Jack and Travis Outlaw), expiring contracts (Devean George, DeSagana Diop), Jerry Stackhouse, draft picks and cash. More players, including other Nets, would be involved.

There are other willing trade partners and possibilities as the Lakers, Cavaliers, Nuggets, Spurs and Suns also would like to be in the Kidd sweepstakes.

Don't believe everything you read when it comes to teams trying to bump up disgruntled players trade value. Remember KG during the offseason?
