Absolute joke. It was rehearsed as hell and choosing to have it in a church should be seen as insulting to the residents, however they buy his crap hook line and sinker.

Yeah, I can't talk about my lying on the stand denying the affair because that's under investigation. That's the only issue you dumbass - nobody cares about you cheating on your wife, it's doing it and then firing a couple of high ranking cops because they are getting too close, and then not settling for pennies on the dollar instead going to trial, lying your ass off and now proven to have perjured yourself and still ended up costing the city $9M.

He's making the issue about the affair when it's about the lawsuit instead of settlement, firing the cops for doing their jobs in the first place and then perjuring yourself in order to try and cover your ass thinking you are bigger than the law. He's a lawyer with no respect for the law or truth.

And this is just the latest in a laundry list of screw-ups and embarassments.

And you know what, the citizens of Detroit don't care - he is their screw up and that's all that matters. He treats Detroit like his own personal fiefdom, uses the city to play gangsta mayor and the city cheers in approval.

I have little doubt he had the stripper killed as well.

The city can have him, I personally am not going to spend another dollar in Detroit and would encourage the rest of you to do the same. They made their bed, they can sleep in it. Spending any money, doing anything in Detroit only emboldens the disgrace of a Mayor and condones his actions.

I opened this thread expecting someone declaring that we should trade for Kwame Brown, and I was totally ready to flame the OP. Now I'm just highly confused.

And Low-Ki, did you take your name from the wrestler?

I thought it would be about Kwame Brown at first, too.

I am way out of the loop when it comes to news. Why exactly was he on the stand to begin with? I hope not because of an affair, I mean who really gives a crap other than the spouse or uptight politicians looking for a way to f*** with an adversary.

I did check that link Hunter posted but that didn't really enlighten me and I am not in a researching mood.

No matter the outcome of this mess, to claim or suggest that everyone not support the city of Detroit financially is astounding. You don't like the mayor or the "mess" he's in.... by all means... hate on the guy all you want. Don't ask me or anyone else not to support the city though. :nonono:

I will not support the clown of a mayor, and if Detroit wants to keep propping him up as some big FU to suburban whitey then I will not spend a dollar in Detroit either. You can't help somebody who doesn't want to help themselves. I'm not going to be an enabler, or part of the problem.

Agree with low-ki here, Detroiters have made this mess themselves by re-electing an obvious incompetent mayor. I dont feel for them. It was obvious to everyone outside of Detroit that Kwame is an absolute idiot and will only hurt the city and it looks like we were right. You reap what you sow. And watch he will probably get re-elected just to spite everyone in the suburbs.
