Subtle (and not so subtle) difference, Monta will never be a true PG, the guy who typically not just makes a decent pass, but puts the ball in a great position for his teammates to score... the kind I want running my team, and the kind I think Mullin and Nellie want running the Warriors. He's a combo guard. A very, very good combo guard.
Most of the time Monta has the ball in his hands, he's the best option. If you're asking him to look for others first, you're taking his game down a notch.
Monta is my favorite Warrior, and I don't want to see anyone screw up his dominant skill set.
Chris Webber, BTW, averaged 4.3 APG over his career., vs. 3.2 for Monta this season.
