Raptors fans are trolls

..coming from a raptors fan. i just checked out the wizards board for fun...if the people from the wizards board were saying half as much of the stuff that we say we would pounce on them and instantly call them trolls. man are we ever a bunch of hypocrites. seriously what is the point of pointlessly arguing with the opposing teams after every single loss...... :nonono:

Really lumping a whole fan base together with trolls there.

Some other teams fans arn't innocent, and are asking to get trolled a bit with ish like this.

I dislike the blanket statement, but I'm going to leave this open for the time being for one reason: the Wizards maintain one of the best, and most welcoming, boards on RealGM. Heck, they even have a thread specifically for trolling, and as anyone who has posted there over the past couple days knows, I had a bit of fun there with a couple of their mods (uh...'til they beat us); there's nothing wrong with doing it there, but don't disrupt the rest of their board.

There's no reason to ruin their post-game thread by gloating about a win in which they were missing their top two players. It's easier to project confidence with gracious, self-assured good feeling than it is with silly trolling; if you want to show the world that we are planning to remain a good team for quite some time, leave the insecure "we beat you! Bahaha, you suck!" stuff here.

How about starting a troll list? A sticky'ed thread. Public humiliation.

Someone shows evidence of a poster being an immature little prick on another board and they get included on the list with all the other halfwits. I'm sick of seeing people give us all a bad name.

That should substantially reduce the flak we get on these boards. Let's not get all upset, let's just solve the problem ourselves. Hopefully it can spread to other boards too.

The wiz forum made some dumb comments about the team in general and a racist comment about AP. But I didn't want to go to there level.

I didn't see that, but well done. There's quite a bit to celebrate; 7-3 in our last 10, tied for fourth in the conference. If other teams want to talk meaningless smack, let their fans be their only audience.

But was that quote from their game thread or ours? If it were ours, then that person needs to be warned/suspended.

If that quote was on their board, then Raps fans are NOT supposed to retaliate.

That's the thing that I don't understand. If posters from another board insult the Raptors on their own board, why are Raps posters retaliating on their board? If you have a need to trash talk, trash talk on our own game thread, not theirs. A handful of Raptors posters who do troll (regularly) don't seem to understand that. If you have a need to troll, then Realgm isn't the right website for you.

A lot of our trolling also has to do with wanting other teams' posters to acknowledge that Toronto is better than their teams, due to win-loss record or stats or something. What's the point? Who cares if posters from another board don't want to acknowledge it? Leave them alone.

Troll list great idea

I posted over there just before returning & seeing this thread

Most of the off color posts were people with 1/000's of posts who I have never seen post here. I noticed this 2 games ago in the Bucks forum

Is it possible that we have some bad apples that just stir sh...t in all forums to cause grief?
