OT: Interesting note from last week's Boston vs Minny game
Just heard it on NBATV. After the win, KG went off on his mouth shooting spree.. mocking the Wolves and Showing off his Boton Jersey and just dishing out insults to the Wolves.. He actually got into Al Jefferson's face and kept yelling "11-time Allstar, 11-time Allstar".. and big Al comes back with a simple reply, "Atleast we have one thing in common, no rings.. ".. LOL..
Big Al owns!
I smell a rivalry brewing..

I used to think KG was a classy player, but then I see him talking garbage at the end of every close game, and don't forget about the cheap shots he gives to every defender running past him towards the end of the game.
He really runs his mouth a lot, I wouldn't be surprised if someone knocked him out or intentionally hurts him during a play.

thats what i tell people... playing hard is one thing but trash talkin' and takin' cheap shots is another thing. The person who ditches his team for a ring has no respect from reason. There is a reason I still respect reggie miller, stockton and have lost all the respect for karl malone and gary payton

listen kg is a trash talker and at times he over does it but hes emotional and i guess that gets to him at times , but yeah what a great comeback from big al and its hard for a rivalry to start when you only play a team twice a year it really didnt work when nba was trying so hard to push a miami-l.a rivalry and doing those christmas games.

So Karl Malone plays nearly 20 seasons with the Jazz, then at the very end of his career decides to play 1 freakin season with the Lakers, which ends very badly, and you lose all respect for the guy? C'mon the Jazz built a statue of him outside the arena and the city named a street after him. I would think they didn't lose any respect for him..

Trash talking is part of the game, If you can get into your opponents head you have the upper hand.
If you cant handle trash talking take up figure skating.

He has no right to be bitter towards Minnie. None! Zippo! Zilch! When your salary makes up half your team's payroll you surrender that right.

garnett is nothing but a self entitled trash talking punk. i used to like him alot. now he comes off as nothing but a snobby nosed **** . and over the years its all starting to make sense. him punching out a rookie, him being a panzy and only talking trash to young guy or role players. the guy will only talk trash to a rookie, or go after a role player like bonner. yeah big man kevin. garnett will never lead them to a championship, he'll probably be too busy talking trash to a second round scrub telling him how great and awesome he is.

agreed, I was more or less indifferent about KG before I read this, now I'm hoping he catches an elbow...
Also: I just wanted to note its hard to call KG a ring chaser because he was traded, he didn't sign there in the twilight of his career.

look at kevin garnett here. running away like a sissy from antonio mcdyss. who is probably known as one of the nicest guys in the league?
. garnett pushes him when hes not looking and then runs away
what a coward. dont jump too far back kevin, you might wind up in the stands. man this guy is such a panzy. kevin garnett is basically one of those bullies who only has the balls to go after someone way smaller/younger/nice people but is a pussy against someone who actually gets back in his face. like antonio did that time. Garnett will never win a title. hes a loser through n through.

Someone mentioned Tim Duncan's attitude. I remember years ago when he was at Wake Forest and Greg Newton, the Canadian playing center for Duke, started spouting off about how Duncan was over-rated, etc. Then the two schools played. Wake killed Duke. Duncan killed Newton. After the game, reporters asked Duncan about Newton's comments. Duncan, who's maybe 19 or 20 at the time, said "I wish him peace." That was it. I've been a huge Duncan fan ever since.

Sometimes I'd swear people think sports = wrestling (and I'm talking WWE/TNA here). The second KG gets into a great position we start hearing all about his trash talk, as if it was some great secret before now. He goes from Hero on a team full of nobodies to an Evil Jackass on the best team in the league.
Go Underdog! Death to the Dominators!
etc...
I hope KG gets a ring, the guy worked hard in Minny, didn't demand a trade out, and got absolutely nowhere for 10 years. I can't fault him for being competitive and pumped that he is where he is.

Tim Duncan is and always has been a classy guy. BIG Duncan fan, here.
Not so much a fan of Kevin Garnett, though.
