The East is such a joke right now... I just spent the last 10 mins going over all the teams in the east to try and come up with better choices then Turkoglu and Butler... and its quite impossible.

without really taking the time to analyze it, you'd have to guess that there's at least 10 players in the West that would make the Eastern conference all star roster that will be left off the Western.

I bet you that the west snubs could beat the east all-stars East is just a joke with guys like Big Z and Joe Johnson making it.

I would think Jefferson and Granger both give Butler a run for his money in the East...

Out West... as much as I think Melo is an overrated player, he's one of the purest scoring machines in the NBA, and I'll take Josh Howard at the 3 over Butler.

Thats on top of having conversations about Pierce, Jackson, Marion (scoring is down, but rebounding and overall "glue" game have to be considered)... there's a few other 3's to consider as well.

Granger's not even close. It's like comparing Richardson to Kobe. I forgot about Pierce and Howard somehow, and Marion definitely warrants discussion, but the difference between him and Caron is you can give Caron the ball in crunch time and say, "lead us", and he'll win you ball games.

My main point was, Caron is no scrub. He's a legit all-star.

i think Nash should play 48 mpg...he is the most entertaining player in the league.

Tim Duncan, Boozer, and Dirk are these least entertaining players in the league. i hate seeing Boozer hit his chest and screen like hes King Kong. Duncan is just boring as hell to watch. Dirk is a jump shooter...oooh big freaking deal.

Allstar game should be pure entertainment. Duncan isnt entertaining in any concept. Hes a great player, but boring.

id much rather see Chandler who just elevates near the rim and looks to bring down the house all the time.
Lets Go Baron Davis...i dont care what jersey you put on. Lets go.
Big Smooth is focused and ready to handle the centers of the league.
Curry and Ellis will be a top 5 back court this season. 6/25/2010

I agree completely. With Arenas out Caron has turned himself into the man. He is much better than Jefferson, let alone Granger. He can do everything, score, rebound and pass. Plus he is clutch. Caron is now a top 20 player in this league imo.

Caron was just as tight last season. He plays well with or without Gil. Kwame for Caron worked well for the Wizards.

Sheed doesn't want to be an All-Star. He wants the time off to spend with his wife and kids. I would see no problem making Bosh the backup C and letting another deserved player in the wing positions.

G: Chauncey Billups
G: Ray Allen
F: Caron Butler
F: Paul Pierce
C: Chris Bosh
WC: Antwan Jamison
WC: Richard Hamilton

G: Baron Davis
G: Steve Nash
F: Dirk Nowitzki
F: Carlos Boozer
C: Tyson Chandler
WC: Chris Paul
WC: Brandon Roy

I"m gonna change my wild card spot for Marion to Roy. Roy is the #1 reason why the Blazers are good, I can't pick a 3rd option on another team over him.

2 games between 10th and 7th, and 4th with Denver/Utah/Portland division. Crazy.

So how does this factor into the discussion for everyone?

It doesn't absolutely decide the issue, but I have to say it adds significantly to the case for Baron over Roy in the all star game. It would be one thing if it were just the one game between us, but they are out of the playoffs at this point.

I think Baron is deserving at this point.

Ryan Seacrest even loves the And1 tour?

Why am I not surprised? :nonono:

There's no way the league is going to shut out the warriors.

I think Baron is deserving at this point.

Over past seasons, I believe the common denominator for Warrior players not being selected as all-star reserves was the team's under .500 record. The Western Conference coaches had to take a closer look at Davis this time. I really don't believe the games played last night had a major impact concerning the reserve selections--coaches most-likely had already cast their votes. Roy will be in New Orleans on all-star weekend--he will just play in the JV game on Saturday. Baron has played like an all-star, his team has a winning record, and they are in contention for the playoffs--put him on the team!
