I figured the Shooting Stars was being replaced by the D-League HORSE game?

I think it comes down to Jose and Allen for the last All Star spot. Allen is having is worse statistcal season ever but playing for the best team in the league. We all know the story for Jose so we'll see what heppens.

Kobe and Bron will be in the Skills comp. Why not the Dunk contest?

So what...! There could still be time for a lot of discussion so why can't it all happen in this thread...About 15 more days until the Festivities start so have the discussion here.

Nice job with the thread. I would love to see AP in the three point competition and a raptor showdown with AP vs Kapono in the final...that would be sick!

I love how we could possible have a raptor in almost every event, minus the skills challenge and horse.

has anyone else noticed that AP needs to take his time in order to be acurrate shooting the 3? his feet have to be set and his release is quite long. with that said, if he does participate, i wouldn't be surprised to see him shoot poorly or at least run out of time.

TJ or Jose would be able to make a good run at Skills Challenge, but they look for big names for the skills challenge.

Yes that's what i was thinking also. If Jose doesn't make the All-Star team then i think they should send him to the Skills Challenge.

Some background buzz from Grange on our guys getting ready for New Orleans. I really hope we don't forget about the Lakers.

All-star buzz
Michael Grange, today at 2:15 PM EST
The all-star buzz is building in many palpable ways.

Tonight Jose Calderon gets to find out if he's made the journey from intriguing-yet-questionable European rookie who struggled to earn his own confidence, let alone management's to Eastern Conference All-star. The All-star team reserves are going to be announced tonight on TNT. Just as important Jason Kapono has begun ramping it up to defend his three-point shooting title. The Raptors had some racks out for him after practice and he was running through them with music going and time counting down and everything. Ummm, he's got to be the early favourite, as he knocked down 24-of-25 on one cycle, making 21 straight, I think, missing one and then recovering make the rest of the rack including the money ball. That is some good shooting. Fortunately he wasn't required to move laterally between the racks.

As for Jamario Moon, he's keeping his ideas for the dunk contest close to the vest, but a crew for NBA Entertainment was there after practice shooting promotional video that rumour had it will appear on YouTube one of these days. My idea is for Moon to wear a jersey from a different former team for every dunk.
