I figure we can discuss other teams playing that will affect our playoff standings. Looks like its down to the wire for Cavs/Portland tonight. Go Cavs!

LeBron hit a game winner to knock Portland down to 9th seed. We are only 1 game behind them!

Cavs pulled it out for us. Knicks lost to Utah, and Memphis and New Orleans choked against Denver and GS respectively. We're still 1.5 games out of 8th place. But its becoming more tightly packed, so upon reaching the top 8, we may be able to rise quickly.

LeBron was fantastic down the stretch yet again. 17 points in the fourth and game-winner against Portland, who have now lost 4 of their last 6, only two wins coming against Atlanta by a COMBINED 3 points (2 and 1).

I believe the Blazers are a fluke and will not make the playoffs. I predicted this even before we played them.

I think the Jazz are in the playoff bracket to stay, though.

If Denver sustains an injury to AI or Melo, they are in danger of falling out, and at this rate the Lakers might fall out. Even SA is a possibility.

We still have a good chance to make the playoffs if we keep winning.

No way man, let em get back to earth the next game, the Warriors would have had the same losses as us had they lost tonight.

I kind of expected the Warriors to win though, they always seem to win those type of games and have become a very good road team this season.

Man, Denver, Utah, AND GS won tonight! Oh well, at least the Blazers lost. When it's all said and done, if we want to make the playoffs, we're going to have to depend on Portland and Denver to drop out of the playoff race. Utah is playing good basketball, and Sloan will keep that team playing well down the stretch. LA and GS both have cupcake schedules through February, so I think they'll stay in the hunt. Portland is young and they lack the starpower to maintain their level of play, and we have to hope that we can outdo Denver's inconsistency/Melos injury. there's still a lot of basketball to be played.

New York has failed us three times in a row now....First to GS, then LA, and tonight Utah.

Sacramento is also a team to watch out for or can at least make it more competitive (though I don't think they'll make it, but definitely have the talent), they've been on a roll recently 20-24

Brad Miller with a 20/20 game..

Good idea to start this thread.

I don't care about the Jazz, they will be 4th anyway, i can't see nuggets or blazers better than them.

It's sad to be rooting for some BAD East teams, but it's what i should do, i wish L from Lakers, Nuggets and Blazers ( i rate these 3 teams worst teams than gsw or hornets ) , and ALSO still Spurs, Mavs and Suns.

I've been rooting for New Orleans to lose all season and the one game I want them to win they lose. Go figure.

Looking ahead at Thurs-

LAL at DET
DAL at BOS
SAS at PHO

Go East!! (and hopefully the Spurs continue to slide)

agree. but we really don't have to rely on anyone to get in. if we play ball the way we can we'll surely get in. 52 wins and we're in, and that should not be out of reach at all.

Yeah Kobe has struggled against the Pistons in the past, Prince's length has given him some problems.

And side-note-BARON DAVIS WAS FLAT OUT ROBBED.

Return to Houston Rockets
