Trade?

Post#1 » by guevara_d » Thu Jan 31, 2008 4:27 pm

What if we could get Kidd and keep our big three???

Orlando Trades:

Jameer Nelson
Carlos Arroyo
Pat Garrity
Brian Cook
Keith Bogans
Fran Vazquez (Rights)
1st Round Draft Pick
2nd Round Draft Pick

Orlando Recieves:

Jason Kidd
Malik Allen
Darrell Armstrong

New Jersey Trades:

Jason Kidd
Malik Allen
Darrell Armstrong

New Jersey Recieves:

Ron Artest
Jameer Nelson
Carlos Arroyo
Pat Garrity
1st Round Draft Pick

Sacramento Trades:

Ron Artest

Sacramento Recieves:
Brian Cook
Keith Bogans
Fran Vazquez (Rights)
2nd Round Draft Pick

Kidd/Dooling/Armstrong
Evans/Dooling/Redick
Turkoglu/Patterson
Lewis/Allen/Augustine
Howard/Foyle/Gortat

Pick up Ruben Patterson off waivers and I like our team.... what do you guys think? Maybe fill those couple extra roster spots with players like Darius Rice who showed a lot of potential...

Don't mean to sound rude, but these are unrealistic trades that take up more bandwidth.

Now I'm one against unrealistic trades but both Sacramento and New Jersey are looking for cap space more than anything else... New Jersey gets a young point guard (that's reportedly what they're wanting from Dallas), two expiring contracts, and a 1st from us; they also get a potential expiring (or a possible sign and trade in the off-season) with Artest. Sacramento has lowered their demands for Artest and if you look at the way their contracts are set up their cap space opens up over the next two seasons, which would provide them with two low salary, serviceable role-players that would come off the books right in time to give them a load of cap space... They would have the rights to Vazquez (still have some value) and an extra second round draft pick... Shoot, I'd be willing to make it a 1st from us if it could happen... but as far as NBA trades go, it's not unrealistic...

I'm sorry...did I miss something? When did we have a Big Three???? So far it's been more of a dynamic duo

I see your point MJallday, but we do have one of the highest scoring trios in the league. And although Rashard has been consistently scoring around 15-19/game the last 2 months, you can't deny that he is one of the big three and opposing teams have him in the defensive plans when playing the Magic.

Rashard will NEVER live up to that $100+million contract, but as far as coming in and helping Dwight while at the same time avg about 20ppg, he has been as much a part of our success as anyone else.
Whether you think you CAN or you think you CAN'T, you're right.

I shall not call them the Big three until Rashard plays at least 70 games in a season. I know he won't live up to the contract but...if he does that. he has my vote.

That half of the roster wouldn't get picked for a pickup game at the girls middle school. So whats it matter?
