This board has grown way too civilized, pensive almost.Back in the day, if you thought someone sucked you brought the heat with an "Amazingly Sucky" thread. These threads have a proven track record of efficacy. One such thread played a significant role in our 2005 playoff run by motivating its subjecy (Juan Dixon) to raise his game, if only for one game.

I think it's because the team has done better than expected. The Eddie-Haywood wars have even died down, partly because of what's happening on the court and partly because every board regular knows everyone else's position and argument. It's sort of tedious seeing the same thing over and over again.

But we are long past the time for an "Amazingly Sucky Songaila" thread. The board owes it to Darius.

Problem is that Pech shoots a horrible % (especially 3pointers), if he even shot 40% of his FGs, his spot minutes would be worth it.

We can see what Young & D-Mac have to offer, even if they aren't quite there yet, with Pech, I not so sure. Could be his ankle injury is throwing him off a bit

During the draft. Plus, the Bucks gave the Mavs the 19th pick to move up to pick the Tractor.

This forum is incredible. One night Pecherov is the next coming of Dirk Nowitzki and now he isn't even good enough to carry Manute Bol's jockstrap...

It would be really incredible if this forum only had one mind. The wide range of emotions is because of the diverse nature of the posters in this forum. I kind of like the the fact that this board is so varied in it's opinions.

And from what I can tell, as long as the poster doesn't go off and act like a complete ass, such diverse opinions are welcomed in debate.

Amen Big A. But who's going to do it? Who's going to pull the trigger and have their board name forever associated with the heir to Arvis.

It's Sucky, but I can't call it amazingly sucky without the proper title.

Nate, you couldn't have just quoted my post from earlier? We said essentially the same thing, and it makes me feel better as a person.

As if! It still stings, cuz I've always been a Bux fan, and that was kindofa golden opportunity that they puqued on. Bob Weinhauer fuqued that up. Pardon my Francesa.

The issue with Pesh is that the guards really don't give him the ball in a spot where he can score. I've noticed that teams have been putting guards and small forwards on him just to neutralize his jumpshot.

What I'd like to see is Pech in the post against these small players. The guards just don't pass him the ball - especially Roger. So he needs to work on crashing the boards and doing the little things to get open.

I agree with this.

I think that Pesh will be fine but he's a rookie in a league with better talent than he's seen in his life. That means that he still needs to learn how to operate and also that his team hasn't learned to trust him yet. Blatche was much the same way his first year, although with a bit more skill.

Once Pesh stops camping out at the 3pt line and actually gets involved in the offense we'll see a much different guy (I hope). We'll also hopefully see the rest of the team show confidence in him by getting him the ball in places where he can do something with it.

Until that happens, I actually think that Pesh is best used at SF. That way him being on the perimeter doesn't hurt as much and it gives us a distinct size advantage. Basically running the ultra-big lineup that EJ experimented with in the preseason.

Seriously, what is Pech's shooting %? he was 0-5 last night
I'm not hating on him, just wondering what happened. Dude seriously throws up some major air-balls. I thought the was the whole point of drafting him was for the 7 footer who can drain from outside. If he can't do that, than he's gone sooner than you can say PJR.

I went to the game last night and showed up an hour early so that I could watch shoot around. All I have to say is that I am horribly unimpressed with Pecherovs shot. There is no fluidity at all. He looks like a catapult, with no rotation, when he chucks the ball up there and everyone of his shots were bad misses. His misses are so ugly it reminds me of when I was in high school gym playing basketball with the kid who played trumpet in the marching band.

Thing is there is nothing in his attempt that resembles an unlucky bounce. You know, the in and out type misses. Plain and simpe his attempts are pure garbage. They are so bad I wonder if Ruffin is a better shooter than he is. And worse his shot selection rivals Jamison in terms of momentum killing, long rebounds to start fast break dunk. I am sorry that I have bashed on Songaila so much, he still sucks, but not nearly as bad a Pecherov and I'd happily give all Pecherov's minutes to Songaila so that Pecherov never enters the game.

Pecherov is rushing his shot. It's a byproduct of playing on an offense with so few other scorers. He looks like crap now because teams are sticking close to him. He'll probably look much better once Arenas and Butler are healthy and drawing the defensive attention.
