2008 NBA Champions

Alright, it's just over half way through the season and its time to throw out a prediction thread as to who you think will win the championship. The key to this thread is that you can only state ONE team. None of this (It'll be Boston, if not, San Antonio, Dallas or Detroit) nonsense. Any post with more than one team mentioned with not earn the respect at the end of the year when I bring this thread back.

This thread is designed for friendly bragging rights at the end of the year against your fellow RealGMers. Intense, knowleagable debate is expected.

So, it's really quite simple. State which team you think you win the NBA championship.

San Antonio Spurs.

They're not playing up to their usual standards but it will all come together eventually.

Dallas Mavericks.

Nobody has been talking about them this year, they've been flying under the radar. Just how you want to enter the playoffs. This is finally the year they'll win the chip.

Still think it'll be San Antonio.

As long as they're relatively healthy (not quite right now, but should be a little while later), I think they'll be fine. Plus that's who I picked originally.

I picked the Suns in the preseason. But I think that the Spurs will do their thing and win it again.

I'm going to pick a team from the East, unless the Spurs make a minor trade..

the West is going to be a tough battle for every team, 1 to 8..Boston and Detroit are going to have a bye in the 1st round, and we've all seen how much that could help a team(Cleveland, last year)..
