Hey guys, Suns fan here. I was just curious as to what you guys thought about this trade. Especially in terms of fairness to you guys.
Kings
Incoming
ATL 1st, DEN 1st
Boris Diaw
Eduardo Najera
Anthony Carter/Von Wafer
Outgoing
Ron Artest
John Salmons
Why for the Kings? They have already talked about trading Artest. This solves that. They recieve 2 first rounders (I think that gives you guys four first rounders... trade up? I think so) and about 6 million in expiring contracts. (AC and Von Wafer are interchangeable here) Diaw's contract is large, but he can run an offense and is one of the best low-post passers there is.
Suns
Incoming
Ron Artest
Marcus Camby
Outgoing
ATL 1st
Boris Diaw
Shawn Marion
Why for the Suns? They lack defense and reboudning. This solves that. They could use someone with a mean streak like Artest, plus he can shoot the trey - important in PHX. Camby is the rebounding presence they so desperately need. Essentially for PHX, this is Diaw for Artest and Marion for Camby straight up.
Nuggets
Incoming
Shawn Marion
John Salmons
Outgoing
DEN 1st
Marcus Camby
Eduardo Najera
Anthony Carter/Von Wafer
Why for the Nuggets? This would have to wait until Nene and Martin were playing well enough to fill the void left by Camby... but forgetting that for a moment. Iverson-Anthony-Marion? Granted thats the highest paid anything ever assembled... ever. But it could work. Plus Salmons is a strong asset, he finsihes well and hustles.

Salmons = Diaw
Artest for two 1st round picks and Najera, where do I sign?
Salmons does not = Diaw. Diaw is a decent player on offense but doesn't defend, and he's not worth the $ he's signed to. Salmons>>Diaw
Kings say no. Suns get too good of a deal, Kings and Nuggets dont do it.

Diaw may have more versatility with his ability to play all 5 positions. However Salmons has far more value to the Kings with the niche he fills (not to mention the contract he has). Also, even though Diaw CAN play the 4, his is most certainly not the answer we are looking for at that position. IMO, moving Artest and Salmons together would require that we have a slam-dunk solution to our front line problems coming back in return. Diaw certainly is not that solution. I would gladly take Diaw as a replacement to KT. But I won't give up Salmons to get him.
This space needs to be filled with a new sig...but I'm too lazy to make one.
