Kwame is not going to re-sign, and I doubt the Lakers try hard to re-sign him. So they are using Kwame to gain something. And they think we are going to turn them into contenders over Critt., please! Taking Kenny Thomas is just a given, otherwise no trade happens, even then the trade is questionable.
Kings should just let Artest walk. Let all these teams that only want to give up junk, make them pay the luxury tax for Artest. It will hinder that team's ability to improve in the future if they are in luxury tax range, this indirectly can help us. So it's not a negative to let Artest walk. Either that or Artest accepts the MLE on his last big payday. We don't owe anybody any favors.
I didn't say anything about you owing us a damn thing. It doesn't send us into luxury tax next season if we sign him and besides, improve your team stop worrying about the Lakers. We're one team out of 29 the Kings must improve against. Improve yourselves and you already have put down the Lakers. Last I checked we don't even lead the division and the rivalry is over.
2 first round picks, including one who's currently doing well in his limited playing time is great for nothing.
You're the one who's getting something for nothing, not the Lakers. Taking Kenny Thomas isn't a given in anything. Nobody wants to take on Kenny Thomas and rumor has even come about that doesn't include a hefty contract coming back to Sacramento that would include Thomas. That doesn't mean I wouldn't consider it but making a case to hurt Jerry Buss' pocket books is not exactly soemthing that should excite King fans. He has the money, he just prefers not to have to spend it...
