BD (#9 in the race to MVP) and DW (#20) are the only players in the top to the race for MVP not to make the all-star game.

I guess those iRoy's really worked eh? Good job Paul Allen & Company!
Also, I think the West selection is to attract and generate more local interest in NO considering how bad their home attendance is. Having TWO home players instead of one will surely generate a bigger buzz. But I agree, no matter how well they have performed this year, West and Roy don't deserve it over Vets like Baron and Caby. Its funny that an ALL-NBA defensive player like Camby can't get into the tea. I agree that the NBA is hyping Roy as the next big thing alongside LeBron and co. but c'on, Camby has NEVER been an All-Star. Should have gotten it. And what about Baron, he single-handedly killed Dallas last post-season and has been a top-3 PG in the league this season and doesn't even get on it cuz the new blue-eyed boy gets on the team thanks to the hype machine? Ridiculous. Roy has been great nodoubt, but Baron deserved it more.
As for the east, JJ absolutely doesn't deserve it. Hedo should have been there, if not him than Jose. Heck, Crash was more deserving that JJ.

Biggest snubs are obviously Baron and Deron Williams, but someone had to miss out. I think including David West is nice, but it's definitely one of those "team success" picks, because Baron and Deron are both more important to their teams.
By the way, Baron puts up better numbers than Roy, but Roy is a far better defender, which I think makes him deserving.

West had to make the team since the game is in NO. If it was anywhere else it would've been Camby or Davis.
And for the people saying Davis' stats are inflated due to run n gun, that's a good thing, it says he's durable enough to run all game and still hit 4th quarter clutch shots.
And if anything is inflated, it's the Blazers record. They had such a weak schedule during their winning streak and now they're back to a .500 team after going on their road trip and losing at home to Houston and Cleveland. No way they make the playoffs.

im not tryin to be a homer, but baron is playing great this season. ROY is a great young player, but he'll have his chances down the road...melo got snubbed til lhis third season.
Camby got snubbed...defensive player of the year who is grabbing 14 boards and 3 blocks isnt in the all-star game?! amazing. Dwest isnt even pullin 10 boards is he ?

Just a few months ago countless posters were trying to vote Shane Battier and Antione Walker into the ASG... And they mentioned that the selections mean nothing to the players anyway... The last 10 pages of this thread are talking about players that were snubbed and/or how excited/disappointed players are/will be for being selected or not
