*Now* that, I can most definitely agree with

Last spot should be Brandon Roy or Deron Williams(i dont care how many PGs the West has, DWill deserves to be there)

You still haven't answered my question. What team are you a fan of?

Detroit

For all I care, you can take both Billups and Hamilton off and replace them with the two biggest scrubs you can find. I care about the playoffs, not an exhibition game.

But even if my team was garbage, I'm not about to get bent out of shape over something so trivial

Calderon is playing well in the absence of Ford, but it's only been a month and a half.

The guy is not an all-star and thus, is why he wasn't selected.

Sorry

Nuggets with 3 All Stars vs Hornets 1??

Nuggets 27-18; Hornets 32-13

Sure Camby is far superior on defense, but West is just as superior on offense

 No disrespect to Camby at all but

Anyone who doesn't agree with that doesn't know much about basketball.

They should've just done away with positions and had a West team with 8 guards.

It's not about the people in the stands. But the media will be swarming about 2 players from the Hornets in the All Star game. And if its all about the record, Hornets are tied with Dallas now I think with the best record. So where's Josh Howard?

Papercut wrote:Biggest snubs are obviously Baron and Deron Williams, but someone had to miss out. I think including David West is nice, but it's definitely one of those "team success" picks, because Baron and Deron are both more important to their teams.

By the way, Baron puts up better numbers than Roy, but Roy is a far better defender, which I think makes him deserving.

In what world is Roy a better defender than Baron Davis? Roy shouldn't have made it over Davis, get ready for Boom Dizzle to feast on opposing guards the second half of the season. He showed the Hornets and Chris Paul al little bit last night, there's a lot more where that came from.

When Rasheed Wallace made the All-Star team two years ago that was based purely on Detroit's record. This year Boston is the best team and they only have two playing in New Orleans. Talk about a double standard. Joe Johnson does not deserve it over Ray Allen. The guy is having an off year and his team is losing.

 Lebron would beg to differ in the fourth quarter last night.

And Brandon would beg to differ the last time Portland played Golden State on January 9th, 2008, as the blazers blew out the warriors 109-91, and Roy held Davis to 4 points on 1-6 shooting

Baron Davis is second behind Chris Paul in the league in steals. The Warriors as a team might be a poor defensive team, but Baron Davis is a good individual defender.

I wouldn't have been all that upset if Deron Williams or Tony Parker or Manu Ginobili made it over Baron Davis.

But Brandon Roy?

I can't believe how quickly he became overrated.

Personally, Camby should be on the West squad.

They just need to get rid of one of the ball-stoppers(Iverson or Carmela).

Neither is Joe Johnson this season. And he's been every bit as good as Rip, if not better. Name recognition and playing on a superior team is what got him snubbed over those guys.

I'm not angry over Rip getting in (team record wins out in a close call), Billups was a certainty, anyone debating that is a fool. The Johnson selection was unwarranted, there really isn't one argument I believe can be made this season for him. He's made a name for himself around the league and is more known over guys like Calderon and Turkoglu.

At least Bosh got the most votes in the East...Nash with the most in the West...

Bustabucket, Baron only played 13 minutes that night. Next time do your research.

Thats fine if you think Jose doesn't deserve it, but ridiculing the guy as some scrub is surely uncalled for. Last time I checked, Billups too got bounced around a lot and didn't get a fair shot, look how good he became. I would atleast expect a Piston fan to realize that Jose can be something special and not just completely discredit the work he has done in his pro-career. I don't expect you to agree with other people's AllStar picks, but ridiculing a consistent performer like Jose is just ignorant on your part.

Detorit has had a winning culture, you guys have had multiple all-stars, Toronto hasn't. Thats why most Toronto fans get execited by the prospect of getting 2 allstars and hence, some recognition from the league that would rather show a spineless Heat or a losing Bulls team on National TV regularly than a winning team like Toronto. So, their excitement is understood.

 Butler and Jamison are on the team! Celebration is in order.

The West is so ridiculously filled with All Star Caliber guards, it's not even funny. Here's just a list off the top of my head that of guards that have and/or could make the All Star Game....

Kobe
TMac
Paul
Deron
Davis
Roy
Martin
Howard
AI
Parker
Ginobili
Jackson

As for the biggest snub this year, that's Camby hands down. He really should have been there.
