Boozer An All-Star!! Deron snubbed..

Post#1 » by Pai Gow » Fri Feb 1, 2008 12:24 am

 Congrats Boozer, you definately deserved it.

I think Deron should have made it over West, but I guess you cannot have that many guards on the roster, but whatever, Deron will just be pissed for the entire 2nd half of the season and that's a good thing.

Also kind of a joke that Roy made it in his 2nd year, though Williams was playing great last year and got snubbed in his 2nd year as well. Gotta put it out there.

Homer.

They got it right.

Deron is a turnover machine and needs to take care of the ball more to get ahead of Roy and Paul next year.

If Deron continues his historic trends ... he is going to own the 2nd half of the season.

Kind of pissed Deron got snubbed for Roy. No offense to Roy, I think he is great, but I Deron has been incredible for 2 years and just came off a deep playoff run were he was putting up ridiculous stats. I guess their respective teams expectations for this year were a factor.

Anyway, Congrats to The Booze. He carried us in November.

As much as I like Deron he didnt deserve it this year, last year no doubt, Roy shouldn't have made it, hes doing what Deron did last year, Baron should've made it for the same reason Deron didnt last year.

I guess he is riding nawlins like a rodeo show...but why do we care. Its not like any of our players deserved to be in over West or Roy. Its people like Manu, Josh Howard, Baron Davis, Camby, Kaman and Jaxx that got snubbed.

Though different positions I think Marcus Camby is more deserving then Allen Iverson easily. Denver would be NOTHING without his numbers.

I have no complaints. Roy deserves it, Paul deserves it, Nash deserves it. Camby is the biggest snub, but F him, he is a Nuggett.

I agree with this but Camby was never going to get in since both AI and Melo are starters. When was the last time a single team had three All-Stars? Ray Allen fell short for the same reason.

The Blazers deserved representation and Roy in their best candidate. I'm not bitter at all about the results, even if I don't agree with them all (Dwade)

What clearly should have happened is that T-Mac should have beaten out AI in fan voting which would have left AI off the roster, while T-Mac would go down with his usually injury which would put Paul in the starting lineup. That would leave one spot open for Baron or Deron.

Also you could legitimately put Camby ahead of West and not worry about 3 all-stars for Denver. But I guess the NBA has got to do everything they can to put butts in the seat in NO's so giving them two all-stars is one way of doing it.

Ummm, what? Last year the Suns had Nash, Marion and Amare...

Also a year before that I think Detroit had 4 all-stars in the game..

Its cool, I agree to a certain extent though that 3 all-stars is a little too much ESPECIALLY when that said team is on the playoff border and not a top team.

Say what you will. Deron got flat out snubbed. I thought the other coaches would certainly respect Deron more than Roy, especially after retrospectively people realized Deron deserved to go last season. I cant believe after that deep playoff run and a 19+ and 9.5+ average on a 28-18 team would get you in....but maybe Portland sending all the teams a bunch of gifts to vote for Roy really paid off....man, someone should demand an audit of that.

Williams not making the team is a good thing. It's just gonna make him work that much harder to show everyone just how wrong they were. Instead of everyone wondering why Williams didn't make it, everyone should be wondering how DAVID WEST made it over Camby and Kaman.

I see no problem at all with the reserves. I actually think the coaches or whoever picks the reserves did a goo job. Of course there'll be people left off. Do you really think the Jazz deserve two all-stars and the Blazers none? Everyone on the general board is saying Camby got left off. So the Nugs should have three All-Stars? NO and PHX got two all-stars and they deserve it. They have the two best records in the West. The only guy who should have made it and didn't, IMO, is Baron Davis. The Warriors should have one all-star. If you take out AI and put Baron in, I think it's the best you could do.

Deron wasnt snubbed. If anybody was, it was Baron Davis, and I hate the guy.

I'm not disappointed with the results. We were in 9th a few nights ago, so getting 2 guys in, when there are 14 other teams out west would've been poor representation.

I really think that Davis deserved it over Roy, but it certainly wont drive me mad as not long ago Portland was in the top 4.

West perhaps didn't deserve it, but there certainly were lots of borderline all-stars, and he's there.

Williams was snubbed last year, and he deserved to be there this year too, but understandably he's not there, and was not snubbed. He'll make it for many years in the future, so no worries.
