I think he compliments Dwight even better than he complements Bosh. Dwight is the big/bruiser and CV would be the big/finesse. All in all, CV is a better rebounder than Hedo or Rashard and is more naturally suited to play the 4.

The Magic have fowards that can score in Lewis and Hedo. We dont really need another foward that can score which is what CV does. We need a tough rebounder, defender, & hustler. Ewing had Oakley, Shaq had Horace and now Haslem. We need a guy like that, not another scorer, we got scorers.

I like CV but I have to agree with this. Adding CV just takes more shots from Dwight, and scoring isn't really this team's problem.

And some of you want to give up the equivalent of two first-round picks (J.J., plus the 2008 pick) too?

Yep.

I think its time we start seeing Redick for what he is, a bench player, rather than what he was, a wasted lottery pick.

well we have that defender/rebounder in Battie. Im interested in CV looking forward. He may be similar to Turk and Rashard, but he is younger, has upside, and has the potential to be a quality starting PF in this league.

For example, last night when Shard picked up two fouls and had to come out, we brought Bogans off the bench to play SF and moved Turk to PF. I'd rather have CV come in as a PF and leave Turk at SF.

Im not for trading both jj and the pick, but i would do either or. Neither of which is enough to get CV anyways. It would probably take both.

CV is also much more versatile than Cook. Cook is not much more than a spot up shooter.

Another thing to consider is if we were to add a dynamic PF such as Big Smooth, this would open up Rashard to post up on SF's because Charlie could venture all the way out to 3-point land to clear space. If we have someone like Reggie Evans on the court, it means the opposing SF can switch to Reggie if Rashard tries to post up. In essence, in order to best utilize Shard and his full repertoire, we need a PF who can, at the very least, hit an outside shot, while still command respect down low.

I am all for bringing Charlie in. Dude scored 48 points in a game as a rookie. Not everyone can do that.

mil want to cut down their payroll

http://www.realgm.com/src_tradechecker/3/

Incoming Players
Charlie Villanueva
Dan Gadzuric (expiere 2011)
mil 2008 1st round pick
Outgoing Players
J.J. Redick
Pat Garrity (exp)
Carlos Arroyo(exp)
orl 2008 1st (miami has the option to swap but won't lol)

-Gad will take over foyle's job,his contract is long but anyway we won't get under the cap till 2012 (lewis+howard)
-Villa could be the PF we need,if SVG is doing wonder with cook ,i don't see why he wouldn't with Villa
-mil's pick will likely be a lottery pick,we could draft a nice pg with it

mil dump contract and get JJ

next year roster

nelson,dooling,2008 pick
evans,bogans,dooling
hedo,lewis,bogans
lewis,villa,cook
howard,battie,gad

sad to see foyle go :-(

i think mil would do it too

we have option on gortat+foyle next year

Gad's contract is long but swaping pick might be the key in that trade

once we resign evans+dooling our roster would be set for yrs to come

if we swap picks, and the Bucks get better position than us, doesnt that almost ensure that Miami will end up with it?

A Redick for Villanueva, with whatever fillers, makes some sense for both teams. What both are is young guns that are buried on their bench due to over depth at the respective positions.

Even if you think that, there were some fine bench players drafted in the first round. It's still two first-round picks.

By the way, what exactly has happened to Gadzuric. Does he have a permanent disability or something? Dude never gets off the bench anymore. I know he wasn't much of a scorer, but he was mean and there were a couple seasons where he really gobbled up rebounds.
