On Around the Horn they basically said that it was not a good enough apology from U of O, that the students were wrong and that they should've known it was going to happen - there was an article in the LA times about it.
Then Bill Plaske at the last second goes "This type of thing would never happen at Oregon State. Only Oregon."
P.S. Looky heerre.. #1 recruit in Junior College to the Beavs woo woo.

Pretty damn fine work on the JC recruit. He should really help.
Bill Plaschke is a moron. Swede, you're my boy and you know OSU far better than I do obviously. If Oregon State had a competitive team that students gave a s**t about, they'd care enough to be disruptive towards Love just like Oregon students wanted to. Oregon students did cross the line, but this isn't the first time (nor the last) and this media treatment is excessive IMO.

Was it bad? Sure.
Was it overblown? Definitely.
It happens all the time, everywhere. Does that justify it? No.
This is just one of those times when one instance is given too much attention. This is probably due to the Times' article.
On a side note, I have a double dislike for Love because he played at rival LO when I was at West Linn.
