lol......I follow basketball very closely, but I could care less if the spurs win or lose. I've lost interest in the NBA as I feel players take too many nights off and don't really care too much when they lose in the regular season.

well for someone who doesnt follow basketball very closely you sure seem to act like you know everything

whathuh wrote:-= original quote snipped =-

yeah....i'm dumb. I know a lot about basketball, more than the majority of the people I have come across, and even spoken to online.

Re-read what I wrote. I clearly said I follow basketball very closely, just do not care about the regular season win-loss record when I know the spurs will make the playoffs.

the playoff race in the west is so tight that only 2-3 games seperates from securing a playoff spot too missing the playoffs....

spurs needed this win, and the RRT is usually when the spurs start to go up another gear, but we been playin like crap losing to teams we are meant to beat, the team is lacking focus atm...
AJ:"I'm Western Conference," he said. "I'm Popovich. I'm for him, for Texas and for the Spurs."

Mr. Sun wrote:Interesting observation I read over on the Republic web site just now. Know why Spurs are so effective against the SUNS? Bowen! He takes Nash out of the game along with the Suns offense. Solution? Move Nash to SG and let LB or Grant bring the ball up the court and run wild.

Anyone agree with that?

Maybe Hill but not LB. i cant remember a game where he played good against the spurs. LB has no hurt and i dont trust him..

the loss today will just get this team better. good thing is, playoff is still 2 months away.

-SDU- wrote:bowen would then just defend nash at SG

bowen didnt take nash out anyways, nash' shooting was off, but hardly ever was that because bowen was in his face

nash had an average game, i totally dont believe bowen affected him much

how about our defensive rebounding, how awesome was that? we have been outrebounded on the offensive boards by 60+ in our last 3 games combined but this suns team came out on a mission on the boards tonight

if we rebound like that, and get our offense going, which it didnt tonight, then we will be ready for that final step baby

Yes i agree. so rebounding doesnt much of a problem after all..

Fun game, guys...

I honestly didn't expect us to pull it out (and leaned to a loss after I woke up, not knowing what went on the rest of 4th), but we managed to. Not being able to put the Spurs away all game, or get into your rhythm much was pretty surprising to me. Hung around all game till the 4th. Even though in general, the Spurs have shown they can beat the Suns at their own game, numerous times.

I expected better tonight.

Skimming the last 8 pages or so, some good posts by Arles.

Why is it that some dumb Spurs fans have to come over here after a win and start bashing the Suns?
Someone mentioned playing defense like Bowen but he is the dirtiest player in the league and no one on the Suns would get away with the stuff that he does.

Don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but I was looking at the box score and noticed that Horry didn't even play. Do you think Pop did that on purpose so that He wouldn't get the boos and fire up the suns fans. I was really disappointed he didn't play.

Spurs don't play dirty until the playoffs at which time Pops will gladly call on the Fresh Prince.

Horry hasn't been used much at all this season, as usual we just want him fresh for the playoffs so he can throw Nash around some more.

LOL....I'm assuming you're referring to me. After my first post, all of them were legitimate and in no way can they be considered "bashing the suns." Obviously because I'm not on the suns' tip after a loss, I'm bashing the team.

Alot of you guys pop up after a Suns loss. If you were over here win or lose it would be different. It's just natural that fans would be sensitive after a game like this. It feels a little patronizing is all.

im still not fazed by this loss

nash had 2 turnovers and amare missed 3 free throws in the final minute, we had a chance to win, we lost, but the fact that we were able to rebound like that, and also be that close to winning a game when our offense was the worse for the season, means alot about how much more versatile we are becoming

what a freakin joke

so what youre saying is that you come here, say something to try to rile us up like a typical useless troll then expect anyone to take anything you say after that as a legitimate post?

its like me punching someone in the head then trying to have a conversation with them and wondering why they dont want to talk to me

"after my first punch everything else i did was legitimate and no way can be considered "bashing of you"

GTFO

We should never have been in that position though in the first place....our poor execution down the stretch against SA has been consistent.

Just an off day by STAT and Nash. They shouldve carried us down the stretch like they have been lately but Nash has two consecutive plays stolen which puts us right in it and then STAT doesn't finish his last 3 FT's.

The most disappointing thing is that we shouldve put them away by playing semi-decent offense. Instead we stunk!

I really hope that beating the Spurs just doesn't become a mental thing for us.
