Western Conference Fans ONLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a bad feeling about this. If Kidd goes to Dallas, the Nets should demand Howard back. I don't want to see Kidd, Howard, and Nowitzki on the same team. That would just put them over the top. I would love to see Kidd go to Houston. If he somehow landed in Dallas or Denver I would just die. Houston needs to make a major play for him. I jus don't want him in Dallas on Denver. Bottom Line

If the Nets are demanding players as good as Howard, they'll have Kidd until his contract is up.

Howard is good, but why would the nets trade for him if they already have Carter and Jefferson?

The Mavericks wouldn't give up Howard for Kidd anyway.

I'd like Kidd play for Dallas.

Terry > Kidd+Howard+Dirk.

I don't want to see Kidd land in Denver or Dallas either. Any other team is okay.

Denver has the type of athletic players that Kidd makes better (if AI is taken away, otherwise there will still be issues).

Dallas don't have tose type of players and need a PG like Harris.

i dont care what happens with the mavs, as long whoever is in the trade with the nets from the mavs side, doesnt get bought out and resign cheap again to the mavs

If they acquire Kidd w/o giving up Howard, they be scary IMO.... As long the Mavs dont mess with the Kings, everything is fine. :D

I don't think it would put them over the top or something, because Dallas still would be relying on Dirk as the only #1 guy, and still lacking a good interior offensive presence. Kidd isn't good enough of a scorer for the former to change.

Make them a better, more talented team? Yeah.

it's scary if they get him giving "oNLY", harris+diop+george+picks. harris is an overrated player, not a great shoter, not a great passer... nothing special.

i hope he go to the cavs, rockets don't have the pieces, nets don't need battier+alston+head.

if the mavs get rid of diop, devin, stackhouse?

then lookout for them to be sweep if they meet the spurs,

they get rid of a low post presence who can gaurd duncan, a pg who stay up with parker, a sixth man who can spark the bench....

for kidd who has been exposed by parker many encounters.

I'm pretty sure that Diop won't leave if Harris is leaving, Harris is plenty good value for a 34 year old with a huge contract who wants out.

Special defender, slasher, and athlete, though.

Not a whole lot of players are great shooters and passers, also.

Just because somebody isn't great at something doesn't mean it's insignificant. It may be, but it depends on how that is with the player. That's just too extreme in standards.

Harris has improved his shot and play-making abilities from what I've seen and read. Great? Of course not, but I'd say better than average.

If he was a poor or ordinary shooter and passer, he wouldn't be as valuable as he is.

until Josh Howard overtakes Dirk as being the go-to player on that team (2 years), or the Mavs get a player who can be the go-to over Dirk, the Mavs are NOTHING to worry about.

I wouldn't worry about Denver either. The only team that really would improve by getting Kidd would be the Cavs, which doesn't matter for you guys since even with Kidd the Cavs can't beat Detroit with the addition of Stuckey or the Celtics.

I don't know about a sweep, but I second this. The Spurs think this trade makes their matchup with the Mavs easier... It weakens the Mav's post defence (against Duncan, and even Oberto) considerably. It pulls a large amount of punch out of the Mav's Bench (stackhouse). And it gives takes away a PG (Harris) who has a decent matchup against Parker, for one whom Parker has historically had success against. However, I do think it improves the Mav's chances against the rest of the conference. Jason Kidd is extremely good, and has a huge history of clutch. He won't let an opposing team (like the Warriors or the Heat) get in his head.

So yes please Dallas, make this trade.

I don't know about Howard being a #1 guy consistently, but, they definitely need another top star player (scorer) to pair with Dirk. That would change the defense played on Dirk, and there wouldn't be a drop off when Dirk's not scoring well.

Even losing Harris and Diop wouldn't be that huge a blow. The team still has Dampier up front, and Howard can play 15MPG in the playoffs if he has to. Duncan won't be playing the whole game so Avery can plan accordingly.

Adding either Kidd or Andre Miller makes the Mavs an extremely dangerous team. It doesn't matter that neither is a big scorer. Scoring is not what that team's missing anyway.

Kidd on the Nuggets... for Nene? Or whom? Regardless, I'd do something along those lines as Denver if only because Kidd's contract is shorter.

Dallas would not give up Howard or Dirk.
