Best Raptors of All-time!

Post#1 » by nuttica » Fri Feb 1, 2008 6:34 pm

Which former/current player would be included as the ultimate starting lineup for the Raptors. Here's my choice -

PG - Jose Calderon
SG - Vince Carter
C - Antonio Davis
PF - Chris Bosh
SF - Charlie Villanueva

Best Raptors careers of all time or best players that were Raptors at one point? If so, Hakeem is #1.

Whatever happened to him? Is he in the music industry? I remember he never used to show up for anything on "Making the Band".

Damon
Vince
Tmac/Christie
Bosh
Davis

Tmac was alright/good as a raptor but no where near the superstar level after leaving us for ORL

A week wouldnt feel complete without the "Best/Worst Raptors of All Time" threads. You can set your watch to it.

ahhh, one of these threads ...

best players to come through this city:
T-Mac (wouldn't have become the player he is, had he stayed)
"Mr. Big Shot" Billups (ditto)
The Dream (his best days were centuries behind him, when he was here)
CB4
and yes, I hate to say it Carter

If TJ can stay healthy and Bargnani can find some consistency, then they'll be up there too ...

This question is for the best players that were playing for the raptors at the time. so as for hakeem he had nothing going for him as compared to what antonio davis did for the raps

I always think this is silly... but I also think that if you're going to do this, you should have to rate it by how they played while they were Raptors.

I mean, the Dream? one of the 50 greatest - yes.
But as a raptor? hardly.

Same with Billups. As I mentioned before, Alvin Robertson was an All Star in the late 80s. Why not throw him on?

For me, It should be about how they were as Raptors.

There was this guy we had named Tracy McGrady who played small forward pretty well.

lol, Charlie played small forward for less than half of the season and he wasn't even that good..

1. Chauncy Billups
2. Tracy McGrady
3. Vince Carter
4. Chris Bosh
5. Hakeem Olajuwon

Bench

1. Damon Stoudimire
2. Dell Curry
3. Keon Clark
4. Charles Oakley
5. Marcus Camby

Thats a pretty good team if ya ask me, sad thing is all these guys were Raptors and we let most of them go :-? But that is, in thier prime, not in prime is a different story.

I dont think Hakeem should be included, I feel it should represent HOW THEY PLAYED AS A RAPTOR...

Therefore my list would be

Jose
Carter
Tmac
Bosh
Camby

WOW!

I love AB, but lookign at that line it, it just seems to make so much more sense to have a defensive/rebounding monster like Camby beside Bosh, to help him, and not another perimeter offensive big man like Il Mago. Oh well, we'll see if it all works out.. he has looked good lately.
