It's like if we traded Perkins and Telfair and got Gasol, but even that is better than Brown and Crittenton!

Wow, lousy for Memphis. How could they not get better from Chicago. Tyrus would've helped that team more, they already have their PGs of the future.

Bynum, Gasol, Odom, Kobe, Fisher. Thats a good starting lineup.

LAkers are a match up nightmare if this is true.
With Bynum, Odem, and Gasol they have the best front line in BBall.

The problem is I don't see this reported on any of the major networks.

It's actually not that bad a deal for Memphis. Gasol's contract was gonna cost them and he's really not worth it. He was an all-star all of once and hes just not a player you can build a team around. They were lined up to pay him about an average of 16mil per up until the 2010/2011 season. I think they did right to get rid of that contract. Getting only Crittendon and a few #1's back is the problem. The Grizz already have two prospects at PG so I don't know why they for another. The #1's probably won't be lotto picks.

But on the other hand, the Grizz already have a bunch of young talent to build around. Did they really need any more young talent? Probably not. They are set with Conley at PG, Miller at SG, Gay at the wing, Darko at 4. Now they tank this season and guarantee themselves a top 5 pick in what looks to be a pretty good draft. I mean the Grizz definitely still have some pieces.

Another thing I was thinking was this could be a risky attempt at trying to snag Derrick Rose. The owner might feel like the one thing that could get the fans into the Grizz is getting Rose. It's not that bad an idea, but they already have Conley so he'd probably have to be dealt.

No matter how people spin it this is an awful trade for Memphis. Yes, they are cutting some salary but they just traded an all star pf for a rookie and 2 picks that are going to be late first rounders. They should have asked for more like Farmar or Turiaf but even still awful trade.

Gasol and Kobe makes more than half of the teams salary. I wonder how much Bynum might request.
