The Memphis Grizzlies have reportedly traded F/C Stro
Per Rotoworld...
The Memphis Grizzlies have reportedly traded F/C Stromile Swift to the Nets in exchange for F/C Jason Collins.
The Nets already have Jamaal Magloire, who they don't use, so we find it hard to believe that Swift will get much playing time in New Jersey. If he wasn't worth owning in your league prior to this move, nothing should change. The Nets already have Nenad Krstic coming back, along with youngsters Josh Boone and Sean Williams manning the middle. As for Collins, he would possibly have some value if he played in a rec league at the 'Y,' but that's not the case. The deal won't be finalized until Monday, meaning Swift won't play for anyone until next week.

No, Swift has a player option for 6.2 million next year which he'll surely exercise - still, IMO it would have been better to buy Stro out then trade for the stiff we're getting.

Stro was getting shafted here in the past few weeks. After the situation with MI stro gets to go to the Nets who have the run and gun going. Will Jason Kidd stay with the Nets or will he still go from the Brick City.

Amazing... Someone actually traded for Jason Collins. Thank you.
On the brightside, Memphis won't accidently win any games with Collins in there so their lottery chance should be as good as ever. Collins also won't complain one bit about whatever role he plays, that's the one thing that concerns me about Swift in NJ... Magloire for example has done the unexpected and taken not playing like a trooper, but if / when Swift does get to NJ and does get a chance to play I just hope Magloire doesn't explode and team chemistry hits a new all-time low...

Here, in brazilian minor leagues, Collins would be the tower boy in a sub-12 team...

I can wait to see Jacobsen, Brown and Collins on the court, all together!
