ESPN Radio: Kwame to be bought out and return to LA?

Post#1 » by Jordan-esque » Fri Feb 1, 2008 10:10 pm

ESPN Radio had a correspondent from Memphis talking about the Grizzlies proposed plan to immediately buy off Kwame's contract and thus waiving him.

Which likely means a team like Lakers can pick him up off waivers after (20-30?)# of days - "The Gary Payton Rule".

We have Jordan. It's OK without J-Critt. I love the guy. But we need a solid big like Kwame to back up Pau.

I posted about this in the Bye Kwame thread. Does Memphis still get capspace if they buy him out right away?

The Gary Payton Rule.

I think you have to wait 20-30 days before the Lakers can pick him up.

Either way, I don't care if another team picks Kwame up before LA.

This is horrible. Kwame is a cancer. We will win alot of games now but if he comes back we won't. Phil will not like an offensive lineup of Bynum Gasol Odom Kobe Fisher (how deep are we) and ruin it. If they do this fire phil or stipulate he can only play Kwame if one of these players are hurt.

As crazy as it may sound... Kwame Brown could play 10 backup minutes at C for the C's.

Look, we have a roster spot and it never hurts to have size. again STAR, Kwame is not a cancer. He is very will liked on this team. Having him be our 12-14th man off the bench with his size and experience.

NOOOOOOOO.

Just when I thought we'd gotten rid of him.

You can't win a championship with a natural born loser on your team and if he comes back we'll have two of them with Brown and Odom.
