I'm telling you....this deal got done because former Lakers GM and star Jerry West used to be the GM of the Memphis Grizzlies, too, and still is friends with the owner. That is the reason those two teams got the deal done --- just as Kevin McHale sent KG to his former team.

There are a whole slew of things that go on besides just thinking up trades. Any ball boy can think up trades and work stuff out here on RealGM's trade checker, and that's great, but to then bash Otis and hold him this standard of trade that you think could be done is just simply unreasonable.
