I haven't watched many Toronto games but isn't he a PG? Can he defend the 2 and 3?
Starts at the 2, but can play the 3...
shoots a very percentage from 3 and is a very solid man defender... I prefer him over Battier because we can't get Battier without taking back long contracts...already gonna have Gasol, Bynum & Kobe making big bucks...don't forget that Turiaf, Sasha and Ariza are free agents we'd like to bring back...

I know... but Odom improves their rebounding and gives them a mismatch oppurtunity... I don't know, but I always thought Prince would be perfect along side Bryant. Its just wishful thinking that Detroit sees that as a fair trade.
Our virtues and our failings are inseparable, like force and matter. When they separate, man is no more.

GMs of the league realize that this makes Odom a tradeable piece. Free agents and veterans of the league will want to go to the Lakers now. Who knows what might happen before the TD?
On paper, we are now a championship caliber team. As soon as we're healthy, we can take any WC team in a seven game series. I really like how we match up with the west

Is it just be, or does anyone think Maybe a Odom + Walton for Tracy McGrady would be good for this team? The way I see it, Odom isn't fit for our 3, Walton has become totally useless and will dissappear. Ariza is meant for a back-up, plus we already have Vlad.
Tmac IMO is a vast defensive upgrade over Odom and I think he is the perfect point-forward for Jackson's triangle. Anyone agree?
We are too clogged at our SF as it is
Ariza/Walton/Vlad/Odom
then our PF Situation
Pau/Turiaf/Odom/Vlad
With ridding ourselves of Walton and Odom for Tmac, we have a top tier SF Starter who can also move down to our shooting guard spot when Kobe is out.

Artest/Kenny Thomas for Odom is a possibility. I dont know how Petrie feels about Odom though and how the Lakers feel about Artest. Lakers get their lockdown perimeter defender who can hit the 3, Kings get their PF in Odom who may fit in better as a playmaker than he did in the triangle offense and also dump KT's contract. I think its dependent if Artest is willing to accept a lesser role for a championship with Kobe,Gasol and Bynum. And the financial space this puts the Lakers with absorbing Thomas' contract may be another roadblock in the deal. I dont like Odom as a SF, he's too slow for the perimeter and I could see the Lakers defense struggling against the quicker, athletic teams with Odom and Gasol at the forward spots.
