Who should we draft

I think he could be a legit PF in the league(most likely a backup). I think he needs to work on his overall conditioning and quickness. From watching some of the IU games this year he looks very awkward running up and down the court. I do believe he could be a good hustle guy and tough under the glass.

I watched him play Wisconsin last night and he was a bull and was all effort. Much better than CV.

Yeah, I caught some of the game at a bar last night and right now i would definitely take him over CV no questions asked.

Yes. I went too draftnet.com. He was rated like 9th out of all PF.
The rest above him are like unproven. DJ and Bogut. We would have two guys with some major post up games. Plus he can block shots. They could take turns posting. I do not think many people could move DJ out of the paint very easy.

He is a player with his stock on the rise. Good to see, especially since it's a player who stayed all 4 years in school

Yes. I think that is a huge plus. Everyone rated above him will take a few years to mature. They might not pan out at all. When was the last time we had a PF like him? He is a high effort guy. I like Yi , but he is not your traditional PF.

More a question - what about Kevin Love from UCLA (I'm under the impression he'll come out)? I haven't had a chance to see him play, but from what I've read and heard on the radio, he sounds like a very mature, high basketball IQ kid. At 6'9" (and may grow a little bit yet) and 260, he seems to have the legitimate NBA PF body we've been looking for forever.

I don't think Kevin Love is a guy who fits with Bogut personally. He's a big guy, good rebounder, but he doesn't have the attributes to ever become a good defender at that position. He's a fine offensive player and a smart one at that.

I like DJ White a lot. The guy is a tough player. He'll play defense, he'll hustle, and he'll score when called upon. I think he's the guy who does very well in the NBA despite his draft position kind of in the mold of Carlos Boozer only not THAT good.

I'm going to add Richard Hendrix and Tyler Smith to the list. Devon Hardin, Ty Lawson, Hasheem Thabeet as well. Here is why. This is why if the Bucks get a lotto pick that isn't top 3, and these draft position projections last, it would be best to trade down for additional late 1st round picks, if possible. I'd also like to see the Bucks try to buy late 1st rounders (ala Portland).

These PAWS stats transfer very well to the NBA, if the player is drafted into a situation in which their type is needed. From that list, Beasley will be unavailable, Love and Hansbrough (who reminds me of Krystkowiak)are both small and unathletic for their postions in the NBA, and Ryan Anderson is a perimeter 4.

Out of the guys I've listed, I'd say Tyler Smith, Richard Hendrix, and Darren Collison would be the guys in the 1st round that can help us the most, after Williams, Villanueva, and Gadzuric are traded. That's based on their PAWS and their scouting reports. I do like DJ White if he is available in the 2nd round.
